Post Cronic Mix Box Question1
I just ordered a Cronic MixBox online.

I have seen some pictures here on the board.

Do they come with 2 various figures? anything else in the box?

thanks.

2 figures - either a "fight figure" (Mav or Zyurai) + small figure or two small figures. No telling what figures you'll get, as there have been a ton of different combos and assortments, including some nice one offs!

I was looking at your Maverasu Visual Database, that is pretty cool ..
Some of those colorways are sick ..
I was looking at some on ebay .. wow, they are pricey ..

Thanks! I just finished the Nougaki DB (check it out!) and need to get to work on bringing the Zyurai Asu DB up to date..

Anyway, I wouldn't just go by those Ebay "Store Item" prices for the Mav's. There are some nice deals to be had on YJA from time to time. But yeah, the older ones especially were made in pretty small numbers and come up for sale maybe once or twice a year (sometimes less often) so can be pricey. A couple of the more recent ones, like the new WF Mav and (a bit older) Maxtoy Mav were made in runs of maybe 40-50 figures and are easier to land at decent prices.

yeah, definitely do NOT go by ebay prices, if it's who i'm thinking you're looking at. just hang tight and look here, there's been a bunch of great cronic sales here lately (including some by andy).

andy, any chance of doing a dorogami database??

Post Re: Cronic Mix Box RECEIVED
well, I got the Cronic Mix Box in the post today.
Kind of a let down, got the two little figures.

Dorome ~ Secret
Ankoron ~ Super Secret

I like the colors, but not enough for the $150 I paid...

oh well, it was fun opening it.

At $150 I can only recommend these for serious cronic fans.

Sounds like that was the normal price, and S7 gave a good deal.

I got mine from a different distro for $100 but I guess it's a gray area at this point. Would have been nice if every box had 1 fight fig and 1 mini though.

I thought the same thing.

Some of the zyurais I saw from these boxes were spectacular. Also some really great paint apps on the smaller figures like akron and dorogami. Not sure if I saw any mavs in the boxes, someone please refresh my memory if they can.

looked like the JP boxes had a great mix of fight figures and the mini figures and 1 off paints, as is with most blind box/bag releases. with my luck I would end up w/ 2 figures unpainted or regular runs. Seems more times than not lucky bags are a great way for companies to release a very small handfull of very special figures w/ a much larger amount of minimalistic figures. Thats the luck of the draw though, keeps it exciting, just wish every bag had 1 treasure.

One fight fig (zyurai, mav) and one small (ank, doro, noug) figure.

Or, 3 or 4 small figs for boxes without the big ones would have been satisfying.

apparently selling them at 100$ meant very little to no mark-up, so in reality s7 (and whatever distro store you got it from) were doing a pretty nice deal. Still I agree 150$ is pretty hefty.

where there _any_ dorogamis in these? i've not seen one...

Post Re: Cronic Mix Box Question1
$100 is very good deal. It is almost similar cost in japan shipped.

There are extremely few fight figures overall, maybe just around a dozen in total --- mav, zyurai, baku all combined.
so i think 3 figures in each box would have been more cool.
