mine has that look too. i figured it was the way it was supposed to look, since i kinda like it. it almost resembles those vinyl records with the multicolored swirls or whatever...

It's due to an uneven distribution of vinyl during the casting process... it's going to be thicker in some areas, and thinner in others. Since the vinyl is colored (as opposed to being painted on the outside), the thicker areas are going to contain more pigment than the thinner areas, and the "blotching" is result of that.

man, i've learned quite a bit of random stuff throughout this thread.

and i'm guessing the blotching "technique" was intentional?

Yeah, the casting process is just too random to generate consistency on that level... and I agree, the randomness of some of the castings of clear figures is part of the charm.
