From my translation (very poor) I beleive these are the Bejing Olympics version (I'm prolly wrong as usual) Mc super size me in gold and a great looking silver. I think one wont be sold to the US so I'm hoping on some clarification from someone who can translate Japanese.

Ron English is awesome, but judging from the results so far I don't think his artwork translates well into toy form. I definitely don't feel the need to put a grotesquely obese Ronald McD in my living space, let alone neon-colored or covered in glitter..?! The stuff of nightmares.

I think this Ron English piece is awesome! But not to the point that you'd want to collect the whole enchillada.

I think English as an artist has some interesting things to say (more so in his "commando art" days than now, but still) but this particular toy has always seemed really repugnant to me, and I could never see why anyone would want to have to look at one every day.

I have the lil' solid bronze dude but its translation into larger format vinyl seems to have lost all the definition and the paint apps are just blech . . .

Honestly I thought I had better taste than this also . These are the first Mc siper size me figures I have even considered liking. They just speak to me, I cant explain it .
Dont have one of these figures and really like the silver colorway so these may be coming to my detolf.

Its an SB toy so its in the SB forum. If this were pushead or Kaws it would be in the American Idols forum. There's allot of stuff I cant stand (figure/toy wise) but there are those who do appreciate this knowledge.

Honestly, If its not SB then someone please correct me and move this thread. If it is SB then dont buy it or read here if it upsets you this much . As I said, I'm sure there are those who appreciate this piece and the info that comes along with it. Backing away from this thread and conversation now.

Its almost as if someone posted a Dunn.y in the Secret Base forum so its fairly hard to skip the thread. Hiddy puts a lot of crap in his blog though.

For the record I like the OG colorways of this big and small and mini. the mono and day glow for me are awful looking. For what its worth, from my perspective, I look at this as a atrocious ad mascot and displayed it next to other advertising mascots. A mascot that lives up to its ugly corporate father.

this is most def. not a SB toy...these are made by TT for Ron English. I agree with Alex that the OG version was the best, and I would have stopped it there...but there are people who still like these...so they keep producing them.

the glitter versions were SDCC exclusives. Hiddy is a big fan of the toy and has carried most of the recent versions. the packaging was made by SB...as the SDCC ones had no packaging at all...

oddly enough, these sell well to the SB fans in Japan...though the people who buy them from TT usually are from the Western side of the coin...

The Japanese Ronald McDonald is the stuff of nightmares.

The first color with the original Ronald suit was the best one, the GID wasn't too bad either. I had to sell mine though. I thought the seeing that clown face everyday wouldn't creep me out. I was wrong.
