Identify this early (possibly Disney) cartoon
Random memory of my childhood, spawned by the upcoming Halloween holiday. When I was a kid, I had a copy of an old (I presume Disney) cartoon that involved dancing skeletons. If it was indeed Disney, it was early Disney. Black and white and pie-eyes era, so probably early-mid 1930's. I wish I could remember more, but this was late 70's/early 80's, and that was long ago. Does this in any way ring a bell with anyone? I'd love to know what this was. I remember watching this over and over again, along with other 30's era B&W cartoons, but this is the one that I recall most vividly. Anyone?

THAT'S IT! Thank you guys so much. You nailed it. I've found a few copies of this after a little searching; pricey yes, but it'll be totally worth it. Awesome.

This is a great DVD. I picked up a copy in a limited edition tin sold many moons ago in Costco. They had released about six different tins with old stuff, but this was the only one I got. Some really great vintage clips on it.

Re: Identify this early (possibly Disney) cartoon
There is also Skeleton Frolic from 1937, which is basically just a color version of Skeleton Dance. Ub Iwerks, who was an animator for Disney on the original, pretty much just remade it for his own studio, with even some of the exact same shots. http://classiccartoons.blogspot.com/2006/04/skeleton-frolic.htmlHe also went on to do several other horror/spooky cartoons.

Skeleton Frolic is on the Lost Skeleton of Cadavra DVD as an extra. Worth it just for that.
