What's the deal with the unpainted Kittyfires? Weren't those lottery prizes back in the day?

That Ark Garuban needs to come out of the bag.

Re: New Store Items - Charactics, Shirakuna, Ultra Book, etc
the unpainted kittyfires were offered as prizes some time ago, back before i even worked here. we found a few more hiding in the way back of our storage, so we are offering them up.
on the garuban, since bagged and sealed vintage figures are fairly tough to come by, this one has to stay in the bag until somebody takes him home.

Damn. Thanks Josh. That's an amazing find.
Ark stuff rules. You rarely see them still in the bag...

How many different companies made a Gaburan? I know that might be retarded, but I thought more than one. Also, Josh, is that the same version you have in your collection pics?

Quite a few. Bullmark had a standard size Garuban, as well as a giant one I think. I've never seen the original giant size. Ark produced the one on the webstore. I wish I could hold both the Bullmark and Ark to see if they use the same mold. B-Club reissued a couple of paints of the giant Bullmark as well (black and blue/silver).

Re: New Store Items - Charactics, Shirakuna, Ultra Book, etc
the ark garuban looks very very similar to the regular sized bullmark, but im just looking at a photo of the bullmark (on clubtokyo) while holding the ark, so i cant be certain.
there was a reproduction of the bullmark giant garuban (which is the one in my collection images) by b-club, as well as at least two repros of the standard size. there is also a pendant vinyl (maybe by popy?) and that die-cast made by i-forget-who. there might be a few other vintage sculpts, and there is a marmit out there as well.
ive only seen the bullmark giant size go up for auction once, and it sold for a painfully reasonable price. i snoozed on it, and now it prevents me from snoozing at night.
im sure some of the vintage experts here can fill in the gaps.

The die-cast one is by Marushin. I think the Marmit one is a Para-baby. More discussion here, initiated by pickleloaf: http://www.skullbrain.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=19828

Re: New Store Items - Charactics, Shirakuna, Ultra Book, etc
Marusan made the first standard size Garuban. Bullmark later used the same molds for theirs. They also did the Giant size. I am pretty sure the Ark is also from the same molds. The pendant is unmarked but other sculpts in the same series look a lot like Bullmark minis and most books list them as Bullmarks, although even the card they came on is unmarked. I can't remember for sure but there might be a hand puppet by Masudaya.
