I would really appreciate if someone going on this trip could bring back a regular size Zagoran Thrashout 4th anniversary figure. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hey all, curious if any you might be kind enough to message me the itinerary for your trip? I will be in Tokyo the middle of October, and I would like to visit some of the places you have all (clearly) recommended. Much appreciated and have fun!

Re: ANNOUNCING!! - Super7's Tokyo Underground Tour
Hey, all...arrived in Tokyo yesterday. For those of you coming on the trip you should be smarter than me and bring something like a light, waterproof windbreaker. The weather sucks and I don't think it's going to get much better. It's been raining since I got here. And thanks to NWA leaving my luggage in Los Angeles, I'm stuck in wet clothes until my suitcase arrives tonight. I damn well better be getting an upgrade on the way back... -- jJ

Right now we're at the tail end of a typhoon (which, for Tokyo, usually just means some rain storms) but things are supposed to be looking up for the second half of the week...

Re: ANNOUNCING!! - Super7's Tokyo Underground Tour
Seems like the minute I hit 'submit' the weather started getting better. Heading to Kyoto today and have been told it's beautiful there right now.
Anyone who ever considers coming to Japan make sure to drop the cash for a JapanRail Pass. Cost about $260 for 7 days of unlimited train travel on anything save a few of the bullet trains (which you can still use it for, but there will be additional charges). Just the trip to Kyoto and back makes up for it. You can do pretty well in Tokyo with just a JapanRail Pass, but combine that with a $7 day pass on the subway and you own the city. A phenomenal combo, by the way, when it's raining.
I was worried about finding my way around but it's been cake.
The public transportation here is freakin awesome. I'm gonna be crying when I return to LA.

I stayed in one of their guesthouses (shared room with bunk-beds) and I had a good experience. Seemed like a good company.

Where do you guys want to meet tomorrow (Thurs.) night for din-din? Shoot, I am around all day, but it seems my stupid iPhone 3G doesn't pick up Softbank like I figured it would, so this board and email (nickgold42 at comcast.net) seem to be the best ways of getting in touch. Oh my god... I felt like an alien already in the US of A... Wandering around Shinjuku having not slept in 2 days, I feel like MUCH MORE of an alien!!! AND IT ROCKS!!!! hahahah ok need to sleep soon, I'll check with you guys tomorrow, if you want to meet in shinjuku around 7pm that works, or we can go somewhere else. Hey, the toilet really DOES squirt warm water up your tush! LOL!

YEP...you should definitely turn that off on your iphone when travelling abroad unless you want a $1k phone bill. just use wifi networks to use the interweb

Re: ANNOUNCING!! - Super7's Tokyo Underground Tour
Anyone know anything about Mandarake Shibuya shutting down? I was in the area tonight around 6pm and decided to swing by. The sign is still there and there are still postings on the door, but it was closed. Looking downstairs all I could see is bare concrete on both walls and floor.
Their website still has it as an active store, but it sure didn't look like it. I'm really hoping I was at the wrong building or something...
And does anyone have an address or directions for Cosmo Knight Alpha in Ekoda?
