What...you wanted it to continue?

yep

No not at all.

Though I will add that I did (initially) find it surprising that he turned down an offer to do a swap, just after he signed up here and showed off his customs and started selling them for big bucks. And kind of disappearing. But I suppose that was a touch naive, after all I mean I suppose he's a busy rising star and all (all the best to him), but it would've been a cool gesture to the sb guys and girls.

Again... you're asking an established artist who commands thousands per canvas at his art shows to participate in a free art trade project? I'm sure Buff would never say it aloud, but I think he's on a different tier than fans participating in a free custom swap. It's a nice gesture to ask him to participate, but I think at this stage in his career, an art swap is small potatoes...

Buff has gallery openings and shows almost monthly now (across the country and abroad), and has to prepare his pieces for his shows... I don't interpret his not posting on the board with lack of interest or want to connect with the kaiju community, it's just a matter of his time being better served working on advancing his rapidly rising career rather than putzing around on a message board. I'm sure when his schedule permits, he'll get back to posting more.

So you don't think I should ask Buff to come over and help paint the house?

Post Re: Metal Buff Monster Toy
i talk to buff monster all the time. he is busy all the time. he has been on here, but to look around. he doesnt post much. everytime i call him he is busy meeting with toy companies and doing alot of show. his last show he was busy for a month just painting for one show. he how to put out alot of artwork for that one show. then he was gone for a week to china and manila to to that signing.

i talked to him about paint some more kaiju but he told me that he needed to take alittle break from painting kaiju and try to stay focus on doing some more art show.

we have to cut him some slack. the man is working all the time. he rarely gets anytime for himself. why not ask other big artist to do a custom swap and see if they would do it.

buff is a big fan of kaiju. u have to understand one thing buff is a working man. it's not easy to do all these events back to back.
