 Re: Cereal
Count Chocula and Capn Crunch but I don't buy them that often because I usually eat about a half a box at a time.
If I eat 'cereal' it is usualy Quinoa with fresh fruit cut up, sprinkled with rolled oats, pumpkin seeds and sliced almonds..

 Re: Cereal
I swear we've had this thread before. Anyway, for me it goes down like this (I love cereal!)
- Golden Grahams - Rice Krispy Treats Cereal - Reeses Puffs
YUCK to anything with "marshmellows" I just don't like the taste of chalk. The ideas are always fun, but I can't get past the nasty chalk chunks.
I wish more cereal came with toys. They seem to lack more now-a-days, kinda sad. Now it's all "cut out this crap from the box" or "go online to play a crap game with our mascot" or mail-away, I HATE MAIL-AWAY, I GOTS NO PATIENCE!!!!

 Re: Cereal
I used to buy a cereal, I think probably oat-based, kinda cinnamon-y and shaped like rectangles with holes in the middle. Looked like an adult cereal, but was surprisingly sweet. I don't recognize it on my grocery shelf anymore. I think it came in a blue box. For the life of me I can't remember the damn name. Google for oat-cereal-blue-box-rectangles was useless. Ring a bell? I'd love to find it again

 Re: Cereal
I've been going through a bit of sugary cereal renaissance myself. I like Peanut Butter Cap'n Crunch and Cocoa Pebbles.
Last time I hunted for the monster cereals all they had was Count Chocula. According to Wikipedia, the others are sold around this time of year so I'll be looking out for another childhood fave, Boo Berry.

 Re: Cereal
All time fave is Capn' Crunch but don't eat very often any more. Last time I ate 1/2 box, ran around the house for 20 mins, then passed out in a catatonic stupor for 2 hours. Was also on a Shreddies kick for quite a while. They're "knitted by nanas" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lRuiQrpXpG0Zombo was a horror movie host on an episode of the Munsters.

 Re: Cereal
That Crumble Creature Crackers picture on the last page is awesome!!! The Zombo episode is the best Munststers episode ever (only one that comes close is Hotrod Herman).
Best cereals:
1) Quisp 2) Peanut Butter Crunch 3) Count Chocula
WIMPS AND POSEURS, LEAVE THE HALL.

 Re: Cereal
I figured it out, it's this stuff: Really good, from what I remember. I usually steer clear of things with "bran" in the name though. Typically look for "cookie" or "sugar".

 Re: Cereal
So is that crumble creatures new? I need it. Fucking rad
Ive been collecting cereal boxes since i was a kid. Got stuff from the 50's up till now. Probably close to around 300 boxes all flattened up. Ive gone on a somewhat hiatus on the sugar cereals tho so havent been buying much, as well there havent been any cool new ones.
Quisp, Quangaroos and Quake are my favorites. Freakies are also top on my list. Ive done my fair share of Capn crunch. I would always eat around the crunch berries and save them for last to get the ultimate crunch berry experience. So when they came out with the all berries I was pretty f'n excited.

 Re: Cereal
Forgot about Quake, Yummy. You old timers remember Crispy Critters and Puffa Puffa Rice? The Zombo cereal box is a mock-up. But you can download the image and paste it on to a Kellogs individual-sized ceral box. Something to do tonight: http://gammillustrations.bizland.com/monsterkid4/zombo.html

 Re: Cereal
I love ALL cereal! Recently scored a box of each of the Monster Cereals (Booberry, Frankenberry, Count Chocula) but those were gone within a few days. Subsequent trips back to Wegmans and the local Walmart (yuck) have yielded nothing though. I was planning on stocking up on them for the winter! Damn. BUT I did find something that might interest fellow cereal lovers: Apparently they're making Alpha Bits (frosted) again. Got two boxes of those.

 Re: Cereal
I usually eat rice chex or shredded wheat with a banana in the morning. I usually eat cookie crisp for desert after dinner.

 Re: Cereal
this isn't a real cereal if you couldn't tell. and the zombo show is a classic creature-feature/sketch comedy horror show. except that the Zombo show was only on TV in the fictional world of the Munsters. Eddie Munsters favorite, who turns out to be just some guy with a tv show. not a real fiend of any kind. an episode about disillusionment. cracklin oat bran rules

 Re: Cereal
I live for this time of year. I load up on enough Frankenberry to last me a few months. I stay away from Boo-Berry. It's pretty tasty but a little scary coming out the other end.
