 Recession buys
So with a somewhat unstable economy I have been searching out other stuff I enjoy but maybe not as expensive as other stuff I like. 100 bucks goes a lot farther outside of kaiju. Just picked up this go bots cap gun guy for 7.50 shipped. Just curious to see if anyone else has some cool economic pick ups.

 Re: Recession buys
I got this giant Chinese Goji knock-off at a local mom and pop toy store for $15 smackers. He's about 22" from head to tail. No tags, just stamped "CHINA" on the foot. Fun! And cheap! and your Go-Bots pistol rules.

EXOSQUAD! Super Saiyan Samurai something-or-other... aka, Gridman God Zenon! 90s stuff is still pretty cheap-o and fun. And that GoBots pistol is sweet.

 Re: Recession buys
My wife picked these up the other day at Target(?) I think. Nifty little domo-kun cuties lounging and skating.

 Re: Recession buys
Nice Gobot score. I used to have gobots and Cy-kill was one of my favorite toys as a kid.

 Re: Recession buys
Soft vinyl Peep found in the clearance section of Wal Mart (I had to go there w/ my mother in law, okay?) Came with a cup that I gave to my 4 year old niece. Also came with a box of Peeps, which had long since disappeared...total cost $2.50 Awesome rockin Popsoda finger puppet, not so cheap, for size reference only.

 Re: Recession buys
Peeps are traditional easter candy. They are marshmellows covered in sugar (traditionally yellow but comes in others) that are pretty much only tolerable once a year hahahaha. Cool to have a little vinyl of a peep. I like this guy too, he was five bucks, Zombie Devil Ducky, (crap) glow vinyl

 Re: Recession buys
Peeps have sort of become a general holiday treat. I just saw the pumpkin Peeps at Target, and I'm pretty sure there are Christmas versions as well. X-entertainment.com has some pretty amusing Peeps articles if you dig around. Love that site. Something about that Peep is not right. It almost looks like an Unchi-kun... Maybe it's a Plop.

 Re: Recession buys
I always thought peeps were just something fun to do with your microwave; kind of like those little rubber dinosaurs that would swell up when placed in water... only with a microwave. and a peep.

 Re: Recession buys
Neat stuff Misssy! We don't have any cool flea markets out here, and in LA anything good and vintage is insanely marked up, makes me jealous. Those tin plates are neat, I'd probably forget one day and throw it in the microwave with a peep on it.
