That's so absurd considering Bemon's usually cost around 250

Eh, looks like a bunch of 'em are being bought up by one dude. If one douche wants to massively overspend to get an army, let him. Thankfully, it doesn't appear the hype stuck.

 Re: Toygraph Space Troopers
They're surely awesome figures - but I'm not even willing to come close to paying retail on them! The clear one looks awesome though! I'd spend upwards of $40 to get one of those!

 Re: Toygraph Space Troopers
Toygraph really should just do a big run of these. By big- I mean 200 or so. Considering most kaiju runs are small, I'm guessing that would nip all this flipping in the bud. Given the popularity I'm sure these would still sell out and they would definitely make their money back. Everyone who has the limited versions would be happy they have something rare and everyone who wants one at cost would get theirs. Toygraph are you listening?

 Re: Toygraph Space Troopers
While I doubt you'll see an individual run that big, I would wager you will see more than enough of them come down the pipeline soon enough.

 Re: Toygraph Space Troopers
The new clear version has a production run of 80, so maybe it's getting more accessible due to obvious demand.

I wouldn't recommend Toygraph to increase the run. In the contrary, I hope they would consider slowing down the releases and keep the run to around 30-50ish and some even smaller/secret releases in between. Are there really that many true trooper lover out there? I doubt so. Most will come and go. Rather then boutique toy companies upping numbers, i think collectors should think about individual collecting style. IMHO, upping production numbers is a sure way to bring down a boutique toy company. If u choose to want every single version put out or go after the same toy that everyone else want, prepare to pay to do so. If red eye and blue eye doesn;t mean anything to you, good for you, you will get one version of the trooper at some point. I remember just a few months ago everyone wants a piece of RxH mini. Demands for upping the production number were repeatedly heard. Where are these fair weather collectors these days? What good did it do for RxH? At this rate they are going, I have no doubt that the Troopers will eventually fade off like the mighty SB, RxH etc etc before them.

I agree though on keeping numbers low. It helps on QC and desire for a piece, besides good things come to those who wait. I absolutely love these troopers, I also think they are better in numbers and would love to own every one of them, however not at the expense of an over-saturated market. The astro zombies release was freakin' amazing. How cool are these guys clear vinyl removable space helmets? Seriously genious.

Ha ha, truly my intent was to let people know that they arent all selling at inflated prices and there is hope where I thought there was non. I agree with the small numbered runs, eventually these will all end up in real collectors collections and then will be off the market just like grail skullwings, and such. I also agree that the attention to every little detail on these guys is exquisite and unique. Love these figures!!

I can't remember for sure, but I think it was fr Toygraph's blog- they are not happy with the flipping and plan to release more to keep the price affordable. I guess from the producers point of view they would like as many people to own their work, its also a business for them, every producer would like sell-out runs. Still its just too popular, and I'm not sure what Toygraphs resources are like and whether they can do a 200 run. well lets keep our fingers crossed.

The costs involved are high and the risk of loss is probably too great..there are 14 versions out now and as of last week I knew of two other versions being planned. Being a completist on these would be near impossible anyway as the first releases were seriously limited and there is one obnoxiously hard to find orange one. the market is totally saturated now on the troopers, sans one person who does not seem to mind paying exorbitant prices (this is of course my opinion) I've been offered that blue eyed one 4 times in the past two weeks for retail. There are plenty out there, the "hype" definitely seems to have died down.
