Still makes me wonder if an authentic original IKB Mosugon 2 exists.. what did it look like? Or if it was just a concept for the header, what did the IKB designer have in mind for it?

Anyone have a general timeframe from which IKB existed or an overveiw of their other product? Did they make stuff aside from Kaiju?

There is another knockoff/bootleg company from the 70s called UFP that seems as elusive to get info on, they were out of Hong Kong & made Sci-fi product.

there has been a drought lately which has somewhat dried bemon's sludgy wet mass

he can obviously no longer slide around on his slug like slime trails, and gushing sludge out of his tube arms would be a huge waste of moisture

thus, our shitty friend has adapted to better move around and function in his dryer climate with feet and fingers

I wonder that too, and if Hukkokudo/Target Earth at least got some concept sketches or got to talk to the guy who designed it in the first place. I don't have much info but the reissues are dated copyright 1971. Some other IKB sofubi pops up sometimes, mostly weird dolls and stuff that only goes for like 1000 yen, I'm tempted to get some of it just to own some vintage IKB I've also seen a Batman that was labeled IKB Korea. Not really Kaiju related but I like this kind of history.

Its funny you mention an IKB Batman because UFP made a Batgirl thats a sort of Ideal Superqueen style knockoff in the 70s. Do you have any pics of IKB Bats?

Bemon mini on the way too...

Sorry not my cup of polluted tea. I just find it looks like some kid did this with Plasticine. The mini looks better though...

The mini looks more like a hot lava monster than a pollution monster, but I do kinda like the mini.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Mini's kinda fun, that particular sculpt works better on a small scale. Also, if someone were to want to, it'd be easy to pop off the mini head and sculpt a body more like the SVHC version (since it's not a very sophisticated sculpt) and have a mini closer to that one.

Big one's still really awkward. I feel bad for it, "HEY GUYZ!" "Oh....Hey 'Bemon'.......we're busy today hanging out with the real Bemon, see ya!" "Aww......."

not too detailed.... the gooey sculpty was hard to work with. I'm going to try again with super sculpty! I'm not a fan of the tongue, I think i'll make it fatter.

Perhaps press some gravel or fish tank rocks into the sculpt than pull out the rocks for the texture?
