Yup! It went really fast at $189.

BUt not as crazy as the pink shaved ice boogie which went for as much as 500 bucks---now thats crazy.

I think it will be different. It seems that most SDCC releases are larger runs. This is for pretty much all companies.

Plus this release is just so much better, well to me at least.

What was the retail for the Shaved Ice Boogie? The cheapest I have seen one go for is around $115.

Problem with the Ice was there was another run for the Japanese market released AFTER SDCC.

Actually, it was always KNOWN before SDCC that the shaved ice will also be release in japan. At least most boogie collectors in japan knew it. I also believe i shared this info with several boogie collectors here before the CON.


The shave ice is a normal run like most of the other boogies. Just because it is released Stateside made it "easiest" to find??

I guess when things are hard to get, they are always cool.
Maybe Cure made a mistake to release their stuff outside japan.
Maybe more company should go the bemon way, tiny run with no announcement and no way to buy them.

Anyhow, i quite like solid figures falling out of favour.
its not bad to build an army of boogies with these shaved ice even though 80% of my collection are somewhat black

I have yet to find anything wrong with any boogie, bring on the shaved all day and pink cuffs on the green. I stand by my boogies.

Not sure about the run, but the shaved ice has popped up everywhere and VERY close to retail unlike the other Boogies.

boogies in a troop is indeed a cool idea.

Boogie almost wants you to expect something different in every release--its so hard to second guess the next release or how it would look like or what direction it would take.

This is an aspect of the designer of the Boogie that I like--the drive to innovate and challenge even the level of anticipation and expectation of the collector himself. FEARLESS.
