Didn't they stop calling themselves Anthrax after the bio-terrorism scare?

I hate holidays like "talk like a pirate day" but THIS I can back. I'm gonna go outside after work and just slam into some lawyer and yell "AAwwwww CAUGHT IN A MOSH!"

It's official:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthrax_(band)
Quote:
Anthrax is a New York City-based heavy metal band that released its first full-length album in 1984. The band was one of the most popular of the 1980s thrash metal scene and is notable for being the first to combine heavy metal with rap music. The band has sold over 10 million albums worldwide,[citation needed] and is classified as one of the "big four" of thrash metal alongside Metallica, Megadeth, and Slayer. International Anthrax Day, started by Bryan Kulba, has been declared for october 9th of each year, to honour the legendary heavy metal band.[1]

Anthrax are great, don't get me wrong, but what about the giants like Iron Maiden, or Judas Priest, equally deserving of respective days, I say!

One of my first real concerts with moshing was the Clash of the titans tour(slayer, megadeth, Anthrax).
I think I still have the shirt somewhere back in Virginia.

funny, one of the scariest shows i ever went to was anthrax, helloween, and exodus. not scary for the moshing, more for the people ripping up the chairs and throwing them.

and i agree. that picture is great!

I saw this tour in Albuquerque, NM...first 'death pit' I witnessed...during Slayer one really angry and buff skinhead dude just stood in the middle and basically attacked anyone who came in the pit...fun :?

First time I saw Anthrax live was in a small venue in Medford, OR dirt floor even, 1988 maybe...they opened for Kiss unmasked, blecch. I lost one of my shoes in the pit too  .

Stormtroopers of Death Day anyone????

SOD already had vinyls of Sergeant D AND the Anthrax 'NOT' man lol.
