I guess I'm old fashioned, but if I can't hunt something down for a semi-reasonable price or trade, I'm probably gonna pass on it. This is indeed a really cool toy, but at the end of the day it's still a toy...A toy...and I always know I could find a nice bunch of toys for the price of one really cool 2 headed Bemon.
well, now that you high rollers have yours hopefully LS can get his... Honestly man I agree. My days of spending TOP dollar are slim. I will only go big if I feel its just. In this case, well it was one of those feelings. Quality over quantity, I rather have one of these than 10 okay releases. I just wont buy releases for a few months.

LASH wrote: Hey Jay your pic really shows off something I like about how these are painted. If you look at the black you will see just how gentle and precise he is. There is no masking and some how he is able to get solid black on the little horns without getting paint in the little space between the horns. And in the eye socks and mouth. Super clean work like always.
Is it Honda ..Yoda ?? who paints these. I'm still in confusion as to who exactly who is who with Bemon.
All I know is that CKA is the shop. Damn Rich, only a painter like yourself can really appreciate these, thanks for pointing that out. Aside from the paint job--I really like the sculpt. Considering that this piece was based from a 60's monster comic book, Mr. Honda's interpretation (if he is indeed the sculptor of this Bemon) is so overwhelming. Intricate detailing, not in the Mc Farlane way but in the old Japanese way. Now post pics of your Green and Red versions.

Sorry for the quick crappy shot. And the red will not be escaping his polly bagged prison any time soon.

Holy crap! This is just my personal opinion... but I actually think I like the green one even better! The red eyes really pop and the skin looks more 'realistic' ... it looks mean as hell. Congrats Rich! You better keep an eye on him...he'll eat those Mummy Boys

 Re: 2 Headed-Bemon querry...
Yeah, while I am much more a fan of the smog monster Bemon, I will say I like the green two-headed monster much more than the red one. They're both pretty cool - not my cup of tea, but still cool - but if I were to want one, it'd definitely be the green one. It looks more natural.

 Re: 2 Headed-Bemon querry...
It should be against the law for you to own that red one and NOT open it. So much detail has to be lost and filtered through the bag, just buy a glass dome like at S7 or something to keep it fresh and untouched, but OPEN IT FOR BEMONS SAKE!

 Re: 2 Headed-Bemon querry...
Like i said the first is better, but the red is also amazing and keeping the line going in a good direction. I like th green for reason mentioned, but I think its the contrast that eyes give off that makes it perfection for me. Not to mention that monster green on a actual monster looking toy fits like no other color could. But the red demon is also perfect for the sculpt. From what I hear the next version will be blue, cant wait to see ! And the ball and chain kept getting in the way because the chain is so long. I just happened to wrap it that way to get it out of the way and it looked so casual I laughed at it. He looks like he is just chilling with it there I think I keep some toys in bags because its a vision I have. When I was a kid going to comic shops you would see cases with some toys opened and some bagged. Same goes for toy shops in recent Japan. So I think its kinda of a way for me to recreate that old childhood vision I remember in my home.

These toys are amazing. I especially love the way the faces are spot on with the faces on the magazine cover, the nuances are all there.
I wonder if Forrest J. Ackerman has one of these yet?

That's kind of a cool idea, the story behind it helps me grasp the concept. BUT out of all the toys to keep bagged, this shouldn't be one. Ah well, to each their own.

I think it's an awesome idea to keep it bagged. Did you peek at the number under the header though?

Wow! Nice set Rich! The red is more impressive than I initially thought but the green is just spectacular. I'm going to post the ultimate monster battle pics this weekend... ...Two headed FM/Bemon VS. SK Doruro and let everyone judge which is the ultimate monster of late!

A shelf full of greatness.
And seeing so many photos of the proto Superfest Zombies lately makes me a little sad inside.

Definitely makes him look more badass. I dig the green version because that's his original color on the FM cover he was based on.
