Re: gargamel gang at grass hut
ever had a waffle. Uh... with gigantic hunks of fried chicken on top. that's the kinda goodness bakoboy makes. He made peach fosters waffles for our sunday mornin' church opening with andrew brandou. toys and flipping delicious food. happiness. Also, just a note for the locals. Grass Hut has joined the S7 distro party.

Re: gargamel gang at grass hut
here's a bit of an update. The crew is planning for the show to be on january 9th. that's still a friday, but a week later than we normally have our shows. So... easier for everybody we thinks. Thanks, the management.

Re: gargamel gang at grass hut
Any good pubs or bars near Grass Hut skullbrainers could use as a meeting point either before or after?

Re: gargamel gang at grass hut
yes, ACE is the palace to stay. There is a bar though up on 28th on our side of the river that a skullbrainer even works at. I can't remember the name, odd since i don't even drink. It will come to me though. Anyhoo they are good peeples and even were major organizers early on for the adult soapbox derby.

hillsy11 wrote: Any good pubs or bars near Grass Hut skullbrainers could use as a meeting point either before or after? I dunno about "good", but... The Doug Fir is across the street - can be tough to get seating though. RonTom's is down the street - it's ok. The Galaxy is up a block - it's trashy and has karaoke. The Chesterfield is a few blocks up - haven't been there, looks like hipster heaven? Those are the only places I can think of off the top of my head that are within just a couple blocks. For those needing a hotel you might wanna stay right across the street at the Jupiter Hotel - it's part of the Doug Fir. If you want a cheaper place to stay and don't mind hearing honky-tonk until 2:00am try the White Eagle - you might even see a ghost!

Nat - what the fuck is wrong with Honky Tonk music??? You young'ens with your hippity hop jive........... Lets see - Accomodations: there the seedy Travel lodge a little further up Sandy after the split. Lots of rooms around the convention center area a few blocks away from GH heading North. There is a NEW VooDoo Doughnuts just up from there in and old Artic Circle building - would be a good place for a meet up. - other bars in the area: Club 21 Sandy (SL)hut Blue Room Recommend a great Greek Deli a little further up on Burnside - Foti's! Amazing Gyros and calamari to die for!
