Post Shipping costs?
Is 4000 yen excessive for EMS for 1 toy, the toy is boxed not bag and header. but it seems high, judging it against my other Japanese purchases.
Do you guys think that's about right. This is my agent, so I'd like to think the price is fair, the insurance is covering about 6500 yen. Just thought I'd get a second opinion. Damn, I probably wouldn't have picked it up if I knew I'd get hit having to pay another 40 bucks for EMS was thinking it would be like half of that.

depends on the size and weight. EMS is expensive but their guidelines and pricing are listed online somewhere....

Little high so it could be a little heavier than usuall but its usually about 2000-4000 yen per shipment (2-6 items, shirt or hoodie usually in there also) for me.

Thanks guys, yeah the figure is about 6 or 7 inches high, so I wasn't expecting the box to be too huge but, I'll look at the receipt, I think this guy has hit me up with fees before that are more than his website lists. So I think I'm done with him after this. Celga here I come.

Yeah it sounds like it. From your description I would say nothing over 2200 yen (thats even pushing it) to get it shipped EMS.

I've noticed from the guys on here that sell toys from Japan, the EMS shipping fees seem to be in the $20 US range for 1-2 toys... I assume this is what the shipping fees actually are as opposed to the outrageous $38 plus 'shiping and handling' fees charged by some ebayers...

The most I've had is $74 but that was with a dozen pieces and alot of big Shikaruna. $40 for one relatively undersized figure is excessive.

Post Re: Shipping costs?
seems like your agent is keeping a bit of the shipping..unless it's very heavy...my EMS for 1 piece has never been over $20 you should ask him why so much..check EMS and get a shipping quote

it's funny when people say agent

I would say crack dealer or vampire
