 Re: Toygraph Space Troopers
Second "proto" sculpt,The afore mentioned underwater looking dude, is a space suit from either an early Toho or Daiei film. Not sure of the title.

This is looking very nice. I am hoping that the helmet is clear vinyl to reveal a head inside.

I had a series of Godzilla candy toys fro Iwakura and that suit was one of the main one pictured on the box so I am certain it is an old Toho character.

Yeah, I too knew it looked naggingly familiar. Thought some more about it and found the figure I was thinking of: the 2004 Marmit Natal alien from the 1959 film "Battle in Outer Space". (figure on the far left, photo courtesy of ClubTokyo). And Iwakura (now DBA Cast) also did release the Mu Empire special agents wearing the diving gear shown above from Atragon.

Nice detective work KaijuZoo.
Mizaru-1 does look nice painted. Even all pixelated. On my must have list for sure.

 Re: Toygraph Space Troopers
A clear dome would be nice and maybe Toygraph does what Gargamel does with the tanks. Release the UFO with a Trooper in two pieces as the troopers are already articulated at the waist.

 Re: Toygraph Space Troopers
The UFO is a nice touch. I'm assuming it might be a severed waist type thing like the gargamel figs

 Re: Toygraph Space Troopers
Just got my Platoon 1 set and a few comments are in order. I love this set for starters. Has anyone noticed the golden emblems in the eyes of the captain to differentiate between the red eyes AZ and platoon captain. Next, is that the biggest friggin header card ever or what ? This packaging just looks haha funny to me for some reason. I also dig the checklist, pretty cool set all together in my eyes.

 Re: Toygraph Space Troopers
It is expected of Toygraph to make these flying saucers and other vehicles following the popularity of the Troopers---I think someone said it awhile ago that it might happen soon.
Who knows, a whole Space Battle Station might be in the works??

Who knows, a whole Space Battle Station might be in the works?? I love the idea of the saucers. Wonder if each figure will have their own or a particular figure has the saucer. If they made them "one fits all" a fleet would look sick landed on the ground with troopers (all the different one's) lurking kinda star trek style on an away mission. I can picture the scene now, man I am excited about this news.

the idea of spaceships is cool, but I just wish it wasn't another saucer.
