Post Gizmodo Exclusive: The Lego Minifig Timeline
This is pretty damn impressive.
Quote:
We have worked with Lego to painstakingly collect and catalog almost every minifig ever produced into a photographic timeline. You will be able to see the evolution of the iconic figure, from the very first sets in the 70s that you saw in our exclusive tour of the secret historic Lego vault to the latest and greatest ones in 2008. Sensory overload ahead.

Seems like they left out the __-Tron series minis (M-Tron, Blacktron, etc.). Wonder why.

They left out the mini figures from the 70's that had non-movable legs and arms.

there are actaully quite a few missing but this is super rad none the less. bonus fun fact: there are only 2 people in the world who have complete collections of every single minifig...the owner of the company in DK and a "super collector" in JP.
