I did not want to link my bank account, I just felt uncomfortable in doing that, so i decided to create a new paypal account so that I could get the default $2000 sending limit again. It turns out paypal remembers your credit card regardless of which account its on so therefore paypal puts a $2000 sending limit on your credit card and not on your paypal account  . So I finally gave in and linked my bank account. Bitches

I think it's a combo of the 2. IMO they get better and better with each release. This is my fav so far!
