Another killer Zyurai.... What's up with the Toraipasu on the left? Looks like a classic Gargamel paint job.

The Tripasu has a pretty light paint job. I guess after the first few releases, which were pretty intense colorways, Naoki wanted to go with something more simple. abelincolnjr wrote: Seems like "coverage" this time around is pretty light... Re: Pachisummit Fall 2008
Hey Andy I just realized that I sounded like an ungrateful jerk in that comment. Public apology due! SORRY ABOUT THAT! What I was meaning is that usualy theres Datadubs kaiju taros and a couple blogs posting photos. Not that your "coverage" sucked. Actually its the best report so far and your photos are great. So now im going to take my foot out of my mouth and go post Pachi stuff to my wanted lists. Thanks for posting! andy wrote: The Tripasu has a pretty light paint job. Re: Pachisummit Fall 2008
No worries, Abe, I know you're good people. But it's true, I do tend to take fewer shots, and a lot of my toy shots are pulled back group/table pics. I guess I try to balance the photos with a bit of description/narrative. So I guess it's more event reporting than toy release reporting.

i especially enjoyed touring Kanazawa virtually with you..! Cheers, I really enjoyed visiting the city. It almost felt like "discovering" something new, since one virtually never reads about places like Kanazawa on lists of "must visits in Japan". And yet, to me, outside of the big three metropolitan areas representing ultra-modern Japan, I've often felt like I've "missed" something about the country's greater (read:wider) identity and past. And Kanazawa helped fill that experiential gap. Really encourages me to start wandering even further off the beaten path. OK, back to Pachisummit, the bar has really good Suntory Malt on tap.

I always keep planning to hit Kanazawa when I go to Japan, but never do. It's not on the "must see" list for foreigners, but it's really popular with Japanese tourists. When in doubt, follow the locals.

The Deep Ones (green and blue GIDs from Patchi Summit) were limited to three each. You might want to shoot me a PM about those if you dig them... I really want to keep the run numbers on the Bechigons small, so I'm not planning on doing anything over 15 for the time being (with most runs being 10 or less). I get bored painting the same figure 15 times

One of my best friends is starting to work on sculpting something to one day put into vinyl - I can't imagine having to do the paint + clear the same way every time. I'd be happier doing fewer, of mostly one-shots. But that's probly my ADD's fault
