 Obama Memorial Hawaiian Collection
Over a month ago I won bids on several kaiju, and they just showed up today. Wasn't thinking about it at the time but most of have turned out to be in the Hawaiian color-scheme. Favorites are the Toygraph Mecha-Godzilla & Kanegon Family. Also, my 1st Blopus

 Re: Obama Memorial Hawaiian Collection
Nice to see someone else digging the Kanegon Family. I think the nicest is the GID, though I've yet to track one down.

Extremely nice haul! You have great taste. I don't know the name of the Yamanaya monster at the far right but it sure is cool. Do you know if it's a Bullmark reissue?
I think Brian Flynn once said that there are over a hundred identified "Hawaiian" colorways. I can only think of about four schemes off the top of my head. Seems everyone's favorite is the pink. It's great that you got a few pink Hawaiians all at once.

That's Leogon, and it appears to be the extra cool version w/ the extended tentacle clutching a small Ultraship. I don't know if it's a reissue of a Bullmark.

 Re: Obama Memorial Hawaiian Collection
Thanks hypermook! With your help I found a little info. It's evidently not a Bullmark, which I should have known just from the sculpt. One site attributes "Copyright Tsuburaya 1971." If I understand correctly Tsuburaya changed its name to Yamanaya in 2003. (?) Monster alternately attributed to Return of Ultraman and Ultraman Jack.

Yep that's Leogon...It's the Hyper Hobby 8/2003 version from Yamanaya, There is one other version of Leogon from 2005...though it doesn't have the arm thingy. Great score!

 Re: Obama Memorial Hawaiian Collection
It is sad the baby Kanegon is sold separate in the blue set, since it is the best part imho. Also sad there is no GID table.

 Re: Obama Memorial Hawaiian Collection
I was watching the Kanegon trio auction, but totally goofed and missed it come launch time glad to see it made it's new home amongst SB still! Congrats on that, amongst the other things That "transforming" MG is def of my fave sculpts, and the Lg Final Wars Hedorah is getting near the top of my want list.

Great haul, pink hawaiian rocks, and kanegon with a family is just cool as hell.
