Oh shit I see it now--damn! Been looking for it in awhile. Is it in mint condition?

I wouldn't say it's minty, but it's in pretty nice condition. I scored him boxed at a local store (Frank & Sons, for you local geeks) for cheap.

There were some changes made from the original Popy version and the U.S. Shogun Warrior version; I believe the U.S. version didn't come with his sword. :?

Excellent. I get to use a bit more of mileage on this pic.

I think it's a different company; these little Soft Garage bowling balls (12.5 oz. each) are too heavy to be pulling River Dance moves like yours. That Gold Tet is nice; who makes it?

I love the chogokins.

Do you have the old, Japanese diecast versions--especially Voltes V?

It's my understanding that Voltes V is absolutely beloved in the Philippines. A matter of National Pride with a political history.

Yeah. I haven't seen any of the original anime, but I believe it was banned by the 'powers that be' in the Philippines back in the day because it represented uprising.

Wow! I enjoyed looking at all of those photos. I used to have a bunch of those Megos when I was a kid. Brings back memories. I love the shot of Giant Robot flying. Thanks for posting.

I didn't think there would be so many Mego-heads on this board. Here are some pics of my favorite Mego: The Dark Knight.

Yes! Both of you are correct!

For me and a lot of filipino fans, Voltes V symbolizes uprising---a fight against a dictator during the dark days of our Martial Years.

The last two episodes (43 and 44 I think) were not shown because it was all about a revolt. Having controlled the media, the regime was afraid it might spark a revolution thru the last two episodes.

This toy means so much to me and a lot of filipinos who were young and was "deprived" of the ending during that time.

During the 90's--the whole series was shown once again after more than 20 years. The TV Network, where I work now, was behind the re-run. It was an emotional day when the first episode of Voltes V was aired once again.

Looking at your diecast now makes me want to go on all out hunting again. If you have leads please help.

Thanks.
