Oh I agree, I didn't think it was great by any means, but I did enjoy it though.

That's not saying too much.

Did anybody see Mother of tears, Dario Argento's final film in the 3 mothers trilogy?

in my opinion, korea has continually produced the best films of the 00's by far. saying that, their horror output is small and what is released is usually pretty poor.

I saw Mother of Tears at a screening hosted by Argento, it was horrible. The audience clapped at the end, but you got a real feeling that it was only cuz he was there.
He was meant to do a Q&A which he cancelled at the last minute and I suspect that it was because the audience reaction was so poor. All the laughs were inappropriate as well.
MoT in no way fit in with the other 2 films and was just a massive disappointment.

I will agree that Jennifer (his Masters of Horror) was great! freaked me out, especially the whole blow job thing... ick.... bla... still gives me the creeps.

Dude, I had to leave the theater at one point from laughing so hard at Mother of Tears. I was completely disruptive, and just had to step out, since it wasn't meant to be funny. I probably would not have done if if Dario were in the room, but it would have been really difficult. It made me kind of sad to see how different it was from the older films.

it was embarrassing.

On a totally different note I have been assigned a write up on Dr Caligari. If I was a girl, the though of it would make me wet :)

I finally got around to seeing 'Let the Right One In'

I was captivated throughout the entire film... and I'm still thinking about it. I would pick it as my favorite film of 2008...easy. Thanks for recommending it!

This is actually coming out on DVD March 10th - I'm quite excited, as everything I've heard about it has been extremely positive. Now if I can only avoid spoilers for the next 3 months . . .
