 Re: Starfighters and a wingman
i'm not going to make any friends posting this, but i think the outer space figures are on the way to being the beach scene airbrushed tshirts from the county fair
the colors are nice... the orange is great, but the "outer space" look is pretty cliche when it comes to airbrushing. like the lens flare in photoshop
and on these i feel like it's just ON them, as it could be on anything. i think without the stars/planets/nebulae or whatever, that these would be a lot cooler to me because i really like the transitions between the large color areas

I like 70's artist like Boris, Frazetta, Ken Kelly etc.. fantasy art. You see that on T-shirts and sides of Vans I do appreciate your opinion and could totally see your point. But I did want these to look like this. Like if these where made in 1978 and where based of a sci fi space adventure movie, the actors they would have been made after would have had a spandex suit like this Like when I made these the old TV show "V" was in the back of my mind and it leaked in a bit. So I had to go cliche and if they where just colors I think I would have lost the point. A little gaudy and a little cliche When I made these the old TV show "V" was in the back of my mind and it leaked in a bit. I could have chosen not to do the details I did, hell it would have been easier, but I chose to do so to drive the point in

The cliche's are what I like about them, and can see how they're what someone might dislike about them too.
