Post Top woman collectors for Vintage Vinyl? How about robots?
As the battle of the (collecting ) sexes continues ( Is there a battle ?), have any of you fellow travelers encountered the fairer sex acquiring items of the caliber discussed in this great hall of knowledge?

In a pass trip to the land of the (A)Rising SUNNN I met a female collector from Taiwan at one of the less traveled path Omochayas in the UENO. She intrigued me. I engaged her in conversation and found that she was much older than me at 35 summers and I at 26 Harvest. She was into cutie shows that played in her land. Her main collection was of ROBOCON, Doraemon and Time Bokkan taking it to a completion state was her goal. She had added on this trip a Jumbo Machinder Robocon with a box. A grail if you will to the Chinese ( Taiwanese?) collector. My subject was elated to find someone to share this discovery with. The deeper our casual conversation when. I begun to realize this plain looking collector was provably unmarred and an outcast in her age group for engaging in collecting. She was not aware of others when encountered with my enquires for a group of Fem collectors she might know that share a common interest. My conclusion and what I have learned in the many worlds I travel ( the pleasure of arcana, essoterica, and toy collections ) is that woman that collect are aberrations and have an unbalanced gene. Most females after reaching puberty and being to be the vessels for life on a timed 30 day cycle put behind their dolls and ponies collections for LIFE. Then only revisit said collections via memories and pictures or thru holly-day conversations with peers form the time before the age of woman. The pain of life giving responsibility overtakes their desire to accumulate non essentials. A reset of priorities take place. The focus becomes shelter and other PRIMEVAL needs. Wile men as a type of being does not share on the MagiK of life bearing/giving and the pubescent transformation and continues thru-out its given life-span to seek and HUNT and GATHER memorabilia to surround in. The male is beyond the shadow of and can just due to the ELEMENTAL wiring just provide a step in the making of life and move on to be come a provider that needs to be rewarded with TOTEMS. Your thoughts Enlighten brethren?

And for the girlfrieds that are enablers our there. Yes you are correct. I don't have companionship of the fairer sex at the moment due to my big mouth an lack of direct tact in presence of the Margarita.

Well if you're implying that women don't collect stuff like men that doesn't match my experience. My wife collects a somewhat esoteric brand of Italian ceramic, my Mom collected teacups and brass bells, and my father-in-law just spent the last week transforming his entire house into a Department 56 wonderland which showcases his wife's collecting obsession. Yes - even to me her collection seems obsessive. I dunno, maybe just the TOPY-style chicks aren't collectors?

I can't read through Artemis’s self-indulgent and confusing posts but from the header let me mention Baroness Nichole who I would bet has at least 10x the toys that Artemis dreamt he had.
Here, Jackie’s collection kicks serious ASS and has been out done only recently by Kozik’s drive for a complete SB set.
Many women collect things so I don’t understand this post.

I get the same idea of your Sis HOTTROD!! Jackie always knows her stuff. I could well imagine that your collection is pretty damn cool Jackie.

I agree Julian, chicks are big collectors. Many even collect subconciously...handbags, lipgloss, shoes....

I have a narrow view of the world and have now come to the conclusion that my quest or knowledge needs to continue before I try to construct a theory. I ask or your hand to hold fellow travelers as I grow into a full formed Cerebral ( skull-brain? )Force ! I also continue to look for a female companion that will put up with my talkative ways ( should I go for brooding? )

artemis is usually a girl's name, so I will assume artemis is a girl until told otherwise. If it was a boy, it would be artemis as well, but said more like "timmy". It is usually female based on the large amounts of them in my wife's family.

Artemis is the daughter of Zeus, and the Goddess of the hunt. The Romans renamed her Dianna.

But what about Artemis Gordon, the male sidekick of James West in The Wild Wild West? Or was it male?

Well wasn't there an episode of Wild wild west where Artemis disguised as a woman and Dr. Loveless chased him around the train tryin' to get some?

"Why Docta, I do delcare!"

"Let me git some you ninny!"
