 Darts in Japan
As some of you know, I'm enjoy a nice game of darts, and I'm part of a local darts league.
I'm just curious about how Darts is doing in Japan? It would seem that there has been a HUGE swell of interest for soft tip darts from the number of Japanese darts companies and supply sites that have popped up over the past year.
For those of you in Japan, is it something that gets any media attention, or have you noticed groups of people playing darts at any bars?
I gotta say, some of the dart designs I've seen from Japanese dart makers are pretty darn nice, but I suppose I shouldn't be too surprised.

 Re: Darts in Japan
Darts is very different over here. You don't see darts boards in pubs like in England. Well, you don't really even see pubs... But darts seems to played more in Amusement halls or specialized darts/pool bars.
I don't think I've ever seen a real darts board in the 5 years I've been here. And I refuse to play with those plastic safety automatic scoring darts boards. I can't believe they found a way to make people pay to play. It's like going out and buying a plastic 'hangman' set.

just an observation,,they were all overweight dudes with tattoos LOL... well, you usually play in bars and/or pubs, so you're surrounded by alcohol and deep fried food. I enjoy a nice batch of Scotch Eggs every so often. The guys that you see on TV are like machines... they're so good that they're almost boring to watch because they never miss. I'm MUCH more entertaining to watch because you don't have any idea where my darts will land.

 Re: Darts in Japan
You can look for British pubs... probably the best bet.
I play in a pub called the Duke of Edinburgh in Cupertino, and they serve them with a nice spicy British mustard - use sparingly or you'll make your sinuses explode.

 Re: Darts in Japan
Nawww... my stats look better than the truth. Matches are randomly drawn, so I rarely play the best players on the opposing teams.
