My first few times listening to the album in it's entirety, i was shocked at how much i thought i hated it. but now, even though the first 2 tracks are an absolute drag, the rest of the album has totally grown on me!

Y'know if it has taken 3 years i'd have found it acceptable. But 15? No chance...it's horrificly mixed and edited to the point most 'songs' are clearly a mish-mash of different sessions pro-tooled together.

Wow, its been awhile since we spoke. I can't even believe its 2008 already! Nearly 2009. Can you believe it? Yeah. Time Flies when you are getting your life together. Things sure have changed. For one, no One GIVES A FUCK ABOUT YOUR BAND ANYMORE!

dude, i like dr. pepper. and i kinda like chinese democracy.....if you get past the fact that it is filed under guns n' roses. i think that is what most people hold against it. if it was just some random new group out, i think some people would dig it. i still hate some of it, but the smooth jazz and the 'Radiohead vs. The Cure featuring Axl' stuff is pretty decent.

axl rose is no kevin sheilds. ive put off getting the advanced bootlegs over the last few years just because i knew they would suck after reading reviews of axl's shows in LA sounding like 'crystal method mixed with heavy metal'. ill nick a copy and post some sort of opinionated garbage.

Some say Axl's crazy. I guess he always will be.

Is there any good root beer in Japan?

I've only heard the title track that they play on the radio, and find myself wondering if Axl has totally burned out his vocals. You can hear that higher-ranged Axl voice way back in the mix, but the up front vocals are all lower and more gruff than in the old days. I am guessing that he laid down some vocals a decade ago and had to recut the song in his current range to avoid embarrassment on tour...

I'll reserve final judgment until I've listened to the whole thing, but my initial hunch is that this is an over-thought, over-produced, and definitely overdue release. At least I got my free Dr. Pepper!
