I remember something about this from I think the travel channel Japan special or something equally as geeky - isn't this were all the kids get dressed up as thier fave characters and basically hang out on the street?
I mean the pics are kinda self explanatory right?

Those pictures were taken right as you exit the train station in Harajuku off to the right. Yes every Sunday they just go to that spot and hang out. I went one time and over by the wall where the girl is posing with her foot on the other girl there were all kinds of people with big framed pictures of themselves displayed on the wall like they were some kind of rock star.
I was there around 5 PM so I'm thinking that was a smaller crowd that earlier.
The shops near there are Secret Base, Bounty Hunter, OriginalFake, Kiddyland, a few Bape, Baby Milo, etc... type shops. You can buy t-shirts for 7500 yen in the OriginalFake shop. That's around $70. No thanks...
There are other no name shops also. Just a real AWESOME place!!
