So who are these guys? I'd say the guy on the left is Ultraman related, but I'm not assuming anything with that mullet on him.

I think the arrow on his torso pointing down to his crotch is overcompensating for the luxurious hair.

Re: strange or rare yahoo auctions post here (after theyre over)
Just found the creator of the Colorforms Outer Space Men has his own YouTube account/channel and has two cool videos on the history and design of the line. "OUTER SPACE MEN" Part 1 "Colorforms Aliens" by Mel"OUTER SPACE MEN" Part 2 "Colorforms Aliens" by Melakum6n wrote: Thanks for all the info on the Colorforms Alien / Space King guys. So it sounds like Bullmark was granted the license to produce these in Japan, but opted to do it in vinyl form (rather than the bendy rubber form) under the "Space King" moniker. This info comes partially from a Wikipedia entry, so take it with a grain of salt. According to the museum website, there were six total produced by Bullmark: Uranus King ('Baltan' guy) Jupiter King Neptune King King Saturn King Venus (winged guy) King Pluto (I think this is the blue guy) Apparently Mars Man (aka, Alpha 7) was taken out. That's kind of weird. I honestly thought these were bootlegs when I first saw them. The history behind them is weird, yet fascinating...

Re: strange or rare yahoo auctions post here (after theyre over)
This guy went for 5250 JPY. The item description was... “BURUMAAKU ? Marchand? BANDERU stars who BANDERU star who was captain of Ultra total length of about 20cm “ Is this Alien Banderu? If so, does anyone know who made the toy and what year it was released? I really like him--looks like a tomato vine that was nuked, and now he's walking about on the rampage P.S. I'm trying to get a better understanding at estimating Celga costs + item. Can anyone tell me from their experience, for every $100 US dollars (say approx. 10000 yen) spent on an item, can I expect to pay $150, $200, $300 USD? I recently bought a $10 (1000 JPY) item on Celga, and it translated to $38 by the time shipping was added.

Re: strange or rare yahoo auctions post here (after theyre over)
Museum website entry: http://mononofu.hp.infoseek.co.jp/museum/marusan/cu/cu_st05_01.htmlThat looks like the Marusan version, actually. They're a little hard to tell apart, and there are three versions out there using the same, or similar, molds (Marusan, Bullmark and Ark/Orange). As for Celga: Under $10, add $15 for handling fees. Up to $100 (over $10), add $20 for handling fees. Over $100, add $30 (and up). Then add EMS shipping, based primarily on weight. If you win multiple items from a seller, they'll charge fees based on the total price, which can be beneficial if you're buying a lot of inexpensive items. However, they will mark up the fees such that each item results in a minimum $5 fee. http://www.celga.com/beta/index.php?page=faq

Thanks for the museum link and Celga info akum6n! You always seem to have the answers. That is an interesting creature to be sure! ..."amorphous and a venomous flowers reminiscent of the sucker head and hands" wouldn't you love to see one of these guys stumbling down your street, 150 ft. tall? Seeing all these cool toys on JP Yahoo just makes me wish I lived in Japan even more! ...sigh....

One of the NYC closeout/discount stores had a rack FILLED with these a few years back alongside crappy Beetle Bailey branded penlights. All mint dead-stock in package. Some candy store must have been cleaned out somewhere. They were 50 cents or 10 cents each (seriously) and I passed on them because I just was tired of kitsch at that moment. Now I $@^% regret that missing that score. NEVER AGAIN!

Re: strange or rare yahoo auctions post here (after theyre over)
Does anyone have any info on "Godzilla's Egg"? I book-marked a JP Yahoo auction that ended yesterday, but can't seem to bring the page up to post a pic here . It was yellow and filled with 5-6 kaiju figures... very cute! Are these currently made or vintage? Who makes them? THanks!
