 Re: Dream Rockets blows minds
wow, this might change my mind about the marnon. I always felt its lack of articulation killed it. but winged marnon? better yet, winged marnon with no elongated/phallic/eyeball tongue? love it. it doesn't look like a lifeless lump anymore.

LOL kind of looks like Mark's wife on the left, and Bruce Lee in front of the hotel door. He lives to fight Eyezon!

I'm with you. I didn't mind about the articulation (none of the DR stuff is outstanding in that respect) but the tongue just bugged me. This winged version is just amazing though; I can only hope for a production piece.

 Re: Dream Rockets blows minds
Dream Rocket is up there with Zollmen and Target Earth--IMO--they just keep busting out the sweetest, dare-say original, stuff in a sometimes saturated market. (See also, Gappo thread.)

 Re: Dream Rockets blows minds
The winged Marnons are great---wings are so perfect on that sculpt that it should have happened sooner! That Marnon-shell wall is killer as well---looks like something that the natives might sacrifice wildlife in front of!
If there is one negative about Dream Rocket it is that pretty much every toy takes up a ton of space...not really too big of a deal, since the quality of the toys is so high, but I have to maintain balance in my praise of things...

 Re: Dream Rockets blows minds
too much space? shit dude, you should see the giant stuff i get from CCP - on an average it's 16 - 20" long! I have to improvise when displaying this stuff

Scotty, as much of a DR supported as I may be, you have a point. My collection can only comprise so much space, and a DR piece takes up room. No doubt. The Muffa-version Jijigora is one of my favorite toy releases of 2008, but ol' boy's tail whips around and reaches to the back of the shelf. Then, since the arms are stationary, those huge wing-arms prevent anything from being placed too close. I have my Rotofugi-version Marnon on the same shelf, and the two take up nearly 1/3 of the shelf space But I still have love for the pieces, and it sure as shit didn't stop me from ordering the clear-lime green Gappo.

The Marnon Wall and the Pair of Devil Marnons are it. There won't be anything "left over."

I wonder what Mark meant by "exclusives." Maybe he meant by other companies?

I suspect that they are probably in the single digits, or something similar. The "Mamon Wall" goes for $1,200, as do the "2 Devil Mamons". I plan to attend tonight, so I'll try to get more info.
