 Re: Anraku problem
I was suprised to see two Anraku toys go up on Ebay the past 2 weeks. They sold for under $100.I thought they would go much higher.

I sometimes think about quiting collecting for a year or so and getting rid of everything with the exception of my Anraku and a small handful of others, just to refresh, get perspective. Anraku brings me the most satisfaction ou of any company I collect. nitty wrote: I was suprised to see two Anraku toys go up on Ebay the past 2 weeks. They sold for under $100.I thought they would go much higher. If they're the ones I'm thinking of, they were both pretty recent minis, so that might have something to do with the prices. Plus things are harder right now all around.

 Re: Anraku problem
I only liked most of what they produced in 06-07. I haven't liked anything they have released in 08.

Drunk Boy rules though, you're crazy (more for me muwaujhaahahhahahaaa!) Also I think there's a good reason there hasn't been a lot of Anraku this year, but it seems like things are back on the up with the Drunk Boy and the 2 other new dudes, and the minis.

 Re: Anraku problem
yeah the other two new ones haven't been sent out yet.
i think it's been a tough year for him which is why there are so few releases. i wasnt a fan of the drunk boy initially, but he's pretty funny. he's another figure, along with booska, that i carry around the house with me from time to time. definitely a new contender in the top 3 sculpts for me (as far as anraku goes anyway)

Does it make me more weird that I bring booska in the car for my commute? He wears his seat belt as well.

 Re: Anraku problem
You're not making it better Ed.
I wasn't able to get a Methyl or a Cobalt, but I'm interested to see how they came out. I'm hoping there will be new versions of them coming soon. Too many yellow vinyl figures from Anraku anyway(that's what I tell myself to keep from crying).
It's interesting that they share the same body as Drunk Boy (with a new head and a squid poncho).

What would be really weird is if there's a Booska riding around on a tricycle with a mini atease in a basket on the front.

 Re: Anraku problem
I have to admit that, like Ed, I am prone to carrying a new toy I love around the house as well. The most recent one I have been hanging with was from Ed himself actually...so maybe he put that energy on it...

Would really like to see Hazard and Drunk Boy in vader or kaiju paint. Or maybe a pink. I've grown to like the new sculpts. I initially passed on the giant Mamaregon and Cambodia only to later pick up the ones with vader and kaiju paint. I'm still interested in the new one as well.

 Re: Anraku problem
This turned into a great thread on Anraku. Lots of folks hit on some great points about and collecting Anraku. Like many, I always see some classic kaiju influence in Anraku's figures. Whether it be Gojira, Barugon or in his new figures Methyl and Cobalt, I noticed a little bit of my Mirrorman kaiju "Big Eye". And that's what I love about Anraku, his work just has an original quality to it while at the same time paying homage to traditional and classic Kaiju. Now when are some more original Gogas going to be released!!!!

I believe Methyl is the one with the hands. Cobalt is the one with the drills.
Those were first announced back to June. Wow.

 Re: Anraku problem
are these colorways of Methyl and Cobalt testcolorways or were they officially released ? if they are officially released, does this mean that there are 2 colorways of each released so far of cobalt and methyl ?
