 Re: Bemon Mixing it up........AGAIN
such variety and really beautiful but i would rather have a solid blank of certain colors.. very cool tho to do more like this. i know a few folks that say they like the mixed monsters more than solids.
just glad to see more coming out at all.

Definitely not as exciting as a factory paint, I'll take Bemon hotdogs any day.

I think these are awesome. This batch looks looks really nice and I love the fact that there's some glitter goodness in there too.

I wish these were easier to get as well but I am impressed with the fact that he's kept production so low when he could easily sell twice as many if he wanted to.
So how much harder or easier are these to get than the factory paints?

 Re: Bemon Mixing it up........AGAIN
the production number is not so low actually. it is just not distributed outside japan. 60 of these, so no need to go too much overboard.

the hotdogs of kaiju I think that's EXACTLY the point, like lucky bags. But instead of just releasing solid blanks he mixes them up for variety, which I way prefer. Much more fun. I like the "hot dogs of kaiju" description too hahaha.

So how much harder or easier are these to get than the factory paints? There are definitely more of the Mixed Parts Bemons released than any Factory paints. The first run of these consisted of 60. I have no idea how many are being released this time though. It looks like prices are going up on these too though as they're selling for 8400 Yen which is more than the factory paints were retailing for. Maybe all painted versions will retail for the 15750 now?

 Re: Bemon Mixing it up........AGAIN
i think this run is incredible. the glitter and GID heads and bodies rule, and the color mixing is much more vibrant than the last group which seemed to be all earth tones. creepy whacked out color smog monsters are the best!

 Re: Bemon Mixing it up........AGAIN
im beginning to appreciate this guy, but these mixups are not helping any. i just feel like id appreciate the sculpt more in a matching vinyl color, maybe with a crazy paint app. this just bugs me, but i guess its cool that those of you whov liked the sculpt for much longer appreciate these. i think its just not a great thing for someone whos only just beginning to get into the guy.

 Re: Bemon Mixing it up........AGAIN
Crazy! The first batch truly seemed like they were pieces left from the last batch or tests that never made it to production. This time seems to be a mix of left over old and a little bit of new. Has there ever been a neon pink bemon release?

 Re: Bemon Mixing it up........AGAIN
I think these are definitely a production run as opposed to a means of getting rid of scraps - especially at runs of 60. Not to mention the addition of the glitter this time around.
I would think this process would be an amazing way of figuring out what colours of vinyl you do or do not like for future releases though.
I just want to find enough pieces to make myself an unpainted GID version!

 Re: Bemon Mixing it up........AGAIN
60 is a lot for a Bemon. 60 for any other release is probably low Or it could be that Bemon release is only 60 separate parts hahah. Now it is just luck which one you can score. Now the thing to worry about is scoring a good combo of colors And yeah, the GID and clear glitter is amazing. I really like the yellow, lime green and pink parts.

Now the thing to worry about is scoring a good combo of colors I acutally think I'd be happy with any combo on this run, they're such awesome colors. Though 60 in run for the mixed parts, is it fair to say no 2 are alike since it's just random spare parts? I dunno if that's so, someone with a little more Bemon-knowledge might be able to answer that though.

 Re: Bemon Mixing it up........AGAIN
I do like these new mixed parts combinations better than the previous run. Of course they're still no match for a factory painted one... That said, the middle Bemon in the 2nd picture with the pink head looks bonkers.

 Re: Bemon Mixing it up........AGAIN
The last time they released these they were boring and uninspired; they're still boring and uninspired.
Last run was huge (60) by Bemon standards and I didn't bother to get one, doubt this'll be any different. They were quite easy to get.
Truly lackluster.

 Re: Bemon Mixing it up........AGAIN
now, availability question: i know these things run high on the after market, but what do they retail at? and what online shops usually carry bemon stuff?

You can't realistically get them at retail (if you could ballpark is usually 7,500 Yen). YJA or flippers with web sites but with the last patchwork run a lot surfaced and some went cheaply (by Bemon standards).
