The tentacles on the chest looks cool.
The claws are too stiff and I'm not too sure what is going on on his head as I don't know the character, but at least - it's somewhat original.

Yeah... i assume this is a very early stage. The claws look 'off' compared to the arms.

What exactly is "koziks" involvement in this anyway?

Pic of my original suit. Its pretty beatup, I made it in 98 or so. The pink bow always got a lot of negative reaction but thats why I like it.

It is being sculpted by Marmit based on drawings by Kozik.
The sculpts only partly finished. I Should receive finished pics by Monday. Then its off to the factory.

Will the toy be wearing checkered Vans? Just kidding. Kinda.

I wish but painting them would be to expensive.

So basically Kozik is just being used for business contacts and name recognition?

Yeah he is using me for my contacts with Marmit and I'm using him for his name recognition. Frank proposed this project to me at sdcc07 and then I talked to Akamatsu-san about it when visiting him in feb 08. He agreed it would be a fun project. Kozik then drew up some pics and sent them to Marmit. Marmit then interpreted them in to 3D. Both made changes to there liking making it a true three way collaborative. We will each come up with our own paint app.
This is my 3rd figure with Marmit w/ 4th also in the works.

I am a huge Sky Deviler fan, not so much Vegetius (I keep looking at him and I have a feeling he will grow on me just like Deviler did), but I do like this one.

I'm always excited to see what's in store for the Marmit x Kaiju Big Battel toys.

It's a cool suit and could turn out to be a cool figure - I just don't understand why Kozik is involved. Sounds like this is your creation, you should get the credit.

Now seeing the actual suit, the sculpt makes more sense to me... Look forward to more pictures and actual updates. The bow is there for the haters.

The suit is intense with the tentacles and bright red claws and the silly bow.

I wish the tentacles on the sculpt were more defined and stood out more than blending into the body.
It would be interesting to see a painted one next to a Sky Deviler to see if they match up good together.

Are they all being done by the same sculptor?

It looks much better now that the tentacles come away from the body toward the bottom. It does look like it's wearing checkered Vans.

yeah, this thing rules. doesn't look very kozik, though. i'm very interested in this piece. and yes, those do look like checkered vans, which would be an awesome touch if they were!

congrats Rand. That figure looks great. Very vintage feel which brings a little different flavor from the other Big Battel figures. Isn't this the dude though that got cheated out of the vynil figure contract in that match?
