ID Help Please: Update 26 Jan 09
Who is this? and i am pretty certain this is Binipara, but want to make sure: Also, does anyone know the kanji translation that I could use for these two if searching YJA? Thanks

 Re: ID Help Please
I'm also looking for the goron. There are 3 versions of it that Marmit makes. He's kind of a cross between a caveman and a gorilla. The pop up on YJA every once in awhile. Usually get pretty pricey though. Certain Marmit figures just go for lots of money and he happens to be one of them.

 Re: ID Help Please
hey lixx - i was only aware of two versions of goron by marmit: the one above and the brown with purple face and hands and gold coiffure. is the other one the same sculpt or is it a parababy version?
i picked up both of these pieces last year in tokyo. you can't tell from the photo, but goron has a long freaky tail. the m1go has pretty bizarre arm articulation (not unlike the character in ultra q) and comes with a small space capsule. both pieces are top notch, especially if your tastes, like mine, run towards knucklehead characters.

 Re: ID Help Please
Yeah, I have another angle pic of Goron and saw the dude's tail. This is the first I've seen of the creature, and I feel it is wicked-sweet. Chris, may the best man win in our quest to scoop up another rare find!

 Re: ID Help Please
Translation for Goron is: ゴーロン The ape guy in the second pic is 'M1' from Ultra Q. This can be confusing because of the obvious similarity to M1 toy co. But try this: M-1号 ...it turned up some for me, though not the one your looking for.

 Re: ID Help Please
Thanks to everyone so far...I was always calling M1-go (second picture), Binipara. I wonder why? I don't even know. And I am also curious why another company would call one of their monsters M1-go, when there is a company named M1go? (And there is a Marmit Parababy of M1-go)

Hoping to help clear up any confusion, "Binpara" refers to Marmit's Vinyl ParaBaby (VPB) line = ビニパラベビー (hence BINIPARABEBI). And M1Go is the name of the famous toy company. Referring to the toy at hand, M1 (M-1 or M-I) is the name of the "artificial life form" monster in Ultra Q episode 10 - that site says that the name M-1 is short for "Man-Made No. I".

Same sculpt, looks almost like the version above but has green highlights on chest instead of blue. Slight difference.

 Re: ID Help Please
lixx - thanks for your response. i'll have to keep an eye out for that version.
REdYOdA and KaijuZoo - thanks for your clarifications regarding our friend here from ultra q. i have seen this guy identified many times as 'm1go' and the header for my marmit figure is stamped "M1号" (just like the toy company name). do either of you know if "m1" and "m1go" are both used to identify this guy, or if "m1go" is a common misattribution or nickname? thanks in advance for any more info you might have.
also, upon further inspection in light of reading the ultra q link KaijuZoo posted, this figure comes with what appears to be a bullet train rather than what i previously noted was a space capsule.
abelincolnjr - thanks for the welcome.

Thx for the additional info about M1Go also being listed on the Marmit header. So researching some more on "M1号" (M1Go), it appears that the Go further describes the prefix as a number, translating as "No." or "#". So the name of the figure is literally "M Number 1". Excuse me but I now need to M1"Go" find one of the VP versions, thx for the pic, Future_man!

 Re: ID Help Please
X-Plus also has a more realistic version of M1 I have this bad boy - comes with two sets of arms so you can have him with the arms down or, like the photo, in his classic pose of the hands on his head. The parababy version is a must own! damn cool

Test shots of upcoming Butanohana toys. Top one looks like Booska, 'Chibull Ningen' and Vira Seijin.
Don't know the bottom two.

Don't know the bottom two. Thanks! Loving the Booska and Chibull Ningen. Vira reminds me of Thing from Addams Family.
