I took it that the black was the first 'production' version . . . prototype kinda deal!

this guy sits on my window sill in front of me right now still in its packaging because for some reason, i cant open it! this is the first time i have wanted the toy in the packaging. it is easily my favorite release of the year! seeing those first pics of the blue hoodie paint job i wasn't super excited, but now i cant really imagine a better look for it, this is perfect! thank you S7

Full color, black and clear. Full color was a general release and black and clear were for Japan and Australia while GB is on tour. I'm really hoping we see more versions, also I really hope there is a banana yellow unpainted!!!

technically speaking All 3 were for japan and Aus tour. the clear and black were supposed to be a sort of "in the know" version. hope that make sense.

I guess what I was trying to say is if you got the black or clear. they are more limited than the color. So hold on to them, because the playing field for acquiring these is way larger than what we're used to

I saw all your posts on B9, they made me laugh. I'm really surprised at the reaction to the GB. Besides the few kids complaining about price it seemed to go over REALLY well.

haha oh the b9. I think it went over very well. I'd say a good amount of the people who bought the GB toy were not skullbrainers or toy collectors. I think the toy just struck a chord in alot of people including Brian Flynn and myself.

Yeah I'd totally agree. Just searching on flickr and on message boards, so many people who don't collect toys but are so stoked on the band picked this up. Really cool, opening new people to our crazy world. It's funny to me how much in the same record collecting and toy collecting are.

ironically i was legit made fun of for spending 'hundreds of dollars on plastic monsters' but almost every hardcore kid i know picked on up or at least tried to. the youth crew dorks anyway.
