Re: Question again - LONGNECK GAS BAWER
I love the Bawer, I gave my beloved Bawer to my younger brother for xmas (it nearly killed me to part with it) but I had to let him have one so he could see why I love these monsters so much. For some reason the bawer has (sometimes) been treated like the poorer cousin of the Bemon on SB, I see it as something very different. He sat in front of my telly for about a year and I never got sick of him. Hopefully now my lil bro will love the bawer as much as I do. Yes and what is a bawer? My first impression was a volcano bawering out ash and lava

I'm also always looking for the mini-Menargo that came in the Artstorm box set, as well as one or two of the full size Death Menargo (or is it Death Namego? I've seen it called both...) as well. The unpainted yellow one in that pic is awesome, is that pic a new one, or old one? I'd love to scoop up the unpainted blue Bawer too.

Re: Question again - LONGNECK GAS BAWER
namegon is the ultra Q & ultraman creature that menargo is based on.. i have seen folks substitute or invert their names as reference. (borrowed from somewhere i forgot to bookmark sorry to the owner!) that new yellow one looks tasty, i wonder what colors will be applied.. really glad to see more in the works by Longneck. i'm hoping for a new sculpt in 2009. i only have the 'secret version' GB, are they all so soft & squishy?

Re: Question again - LONGNECK GAS BAWER
Interesting thread..
I've got a dempagon (ikareuge tribute) on the way but it looks like there were a variant. Didn't know that.

Re: Question again - LONGNECK GAS BAWER
A lot of the paint jobs on these aren't for me, but some I really like. I'd like to get the Smogun tribute one and the strawberry too someday. What I like about Longneck, as a whole, is when they do tributes they do one's that aren't done as often in neo-kaiju, but fit and are obvious. They aren't churning out "hawaii" colorways, which rules, but it's done to death. But who does a Garuban tribute? Dempagon is still their best sculpt, but I like the others this guy included. I also like how he takes his time on sculpts. Only 3 so far, that's fine pacing.

Re: Question again - LONGNECK GAS BAWER
I have the Strawberry version of the Bawer and it's one of my favorite figures. Everything from the sculpt to paint application is pretty great. And it's a fairly hefty piece to boot. I'd love to land a Dempagon at some point too. PickleLoaf did a nice write up of the bawer on his blog that influenced my original purchase.

Re: Question again - LONGNECK GAS BAWER
Had to copy/paste this bit of info from another thread. There's been a lot of Longneck/Bemon discussion in various threads (the Mother thread had a bit of discussion where I pondered whether both companies figures came from the same sculptor) but I figured it was best to put this directly in the Longneck thread: VELOCITRON wrote: The Bemon Pollution Monster and all the Longneck stuff (done by the same sculptor)...
