Just wanted to say hello to my buddies here, LA and elsewhere.

I had to return to England very suddenly and that and some other stuff explains my board absense of late.

Just want to say I miss my friends here, but I have no net access (apart form this dodgy cafe I just found). Please feel free to keep me up to date on new releases LASK Krew, as right now I am OUT of teh loop.

Everything okay

I hope everythings ok.

Sorry for being out of touch for so long. Some bad stuff happened towards the end of the year, and I was at an ultra low point – which I’m climbing out of now.

Things went downhill in October when I received a phone call that my youngest (just 20 years of age) and very close relative took her own life. I traveled to England immediately – it was the worst trip and the saddest funeral. The family did not fare well during this time and continue to be fractured in many ways.
Immediately on my return to LA I had the relationship rug pulled out from me when I needed it the most – and that sent me in a further downward spiral.

Things have not been the same since October for these reasons and a few others I won’t go into. My interest in my hobbies and favorite TV shows all but disappeared. One reason I kept off the boards is because I really felt I couldn’t be here without enthusiasm for the medium. My new job was understanding as well, but of course it didn’t take long for them to expect 110% again. I have to say that I usually love the holidays, but this year was a tough one.

On the plus side events like this help you understand who your friends are. One particular friend has been amazing – without his support I would not be anywhere near as intact as I am. Everyone has been so cool. LASK stepped up as usual proving we are about more than just toys. Other friends from the board sent me emails of support, and put up with me when they came to LA. Another friend took me to Fresno to see Metallica and we went backstage and met the band. My new friends at work have been pretty cool too 

I also feel I’m now learning from dealing with this – and hopefully it will allow me to be more supportive of other people who go through shit. I’ve already seen it happen – and I’ve realized more than ever that everyone has a story to tell and has to deal with shit.

A lot of other stuff happened last year, but these events have come to define it for me. The economy may have tanked, but I hope 2009 will prove to be a better year. Hopefully you’ll be seeing more of me back here in the coming months.
