...and that's the way to make purchases. You take a guess based on what the company sells. If you only buy 10% of what they carry, why take your chances on a lucky bag?
BTW...lucky bags were started by dept. stores . They would put in a bunch of unwanted merch and sell them for dirt cheap just to get rid of them and make space on shelves. It went against another tradition, which is not only a Japanese tradition, of starting the new year with something new. So lucky bags started having new or expensive, but were only in small amounts...hence the name lucky bag.
I also agree with andy about the proto thing. It's not a proto if you make 20 of them.

Customs actually opened and searched through my Lucky Bag box. My box arrived resealed with the green "US Customs" packing tape stating that US Customs voilated it with rubber gloves...

As I mentioned before, I do not regret getting a SB Lucky Bag, even though I didn't get the things that I was hoping for. Glad I got the chance to get one at all. Them's the breaks...better luck next year.

Yeah, that was the first time I saw the "US Customs" tape also. I was talking to the mailman and he says that Customs often open up packages if you order too often from a specific international region. Given that I had 3 orders for Secret Base, 1 order from KT and another 3 orders from Shocker in the month of December alone, I guess I got flagged.
