Post "still a newbie" question...
i finally decided to check out the whole celga/yja thing. opened an account and read through the faq. few things i'm wondering still:

how do you send bid deposit?
they mention it, and how you have to place a deposit before they will bid, but i can't find any info on how to send the bid deposit. do you do this after the bid request?

also, i don't speak, read, or type in japanese, and they state on the celga site that they have a enabled english keyword search, but whenever i search for specific stuff, i get car parts. i don't collect car parts.

anyways, help a newb out!

It might have changed but back in the old days, one would email bustakei at yahoo.com

listing your name and contact information
URL of the auction
Your bid
and then send a 50% deposit via paypal

if you lose the auction, they can apply the balance to your next auction bid

They will bid for you at the last minute

For Celga...
If it is not a "Buy Now" auction, then you submit the request through the web form and they will email you an invoice for the deposit. If it is a Buy Now, I think you have to send them the full amount up front

I think the deposits can be payed by PayPal, but the invoices after winning are actually paid through some other payment system

Hope that helps

Try using the search function here, type in "translation", "translate", or kanji etc etc. Will bring up numerous posts here on japanese characters for specific companies, monsters etc. All the info on buying is in the bid request on the new Celga site. It automatically takes you to paypal with the exact amount of deposit. Hope it helps, say good bye to your wallet officially.

Keep in mind that you will also have to pay fees. To Celga and for shipping. If you live in the US, the item gets shipped to Celga, and then to you.
