 Re: Toygraph Space Troopers
Dammit, I have that gashapon Bandai Gamera, and those stickers... but I really want those Tokojis -sigh- back on topic... ape heads redeem this line for me, months ago, I thought these were interesting and something I'd like to get into, but I couldn't get on board with em. The Mizaru are great, but I'd love to see a custom Buzz Lightyear paintjob on one of the clear bodied Troopers. I think it'd rock.

 Re: Toygraph Space Troopers
you would think that after releasing what...over 2000 of these over the past couple months they could price them better than $70 each by now?

 Re: Toygraph Space Troopers
Yeah, really don't know why these are $70 each. Wasn't the roto exclusive $40?

I only have four of these guys, so it doesn't bother me too much to drop $70 on one. Hell, it's almost worth the peace of mind knowing I won't have to chase after one later. Believe me, I have enough toys to search for on the aftermarket as it is! I kinda figured it'd be obvious, but the same pic is used for both the painted and unpainted versions...suggesting to me that no pics of the painted one have been released yet. Anyway, whadday'all think about the saucer? I'm not really feeling it...a bit small and nondescript...

 Re: Toygraph Space Troopers
I like the outer paint job on the saucer. The inner cockpit looks too jaring like an unpainted white. And no dome??
I can't tell the difference between the two pink troopers. They both look unpainted to me, the photos look the same.

 Re: Toygraph Space Troopers
just to clear up a couple things on the new troopers currently up for pre-order - the saucer does come with a clear dome, but the image with the dome on had too much glare to see the figure, so i used the image where it is off. on the clear pink trooper, we were solicited a clear pink painted, and a clear pink unpainted, with only one image. the image we were given makes it hard to tell if the figure is unpainted, or painted with a little silver. we'll just have to use our imaginations on that one, sorry! as for the price, i know 70 is tough, but our wholesale price on these is really high, my guess is because of the cans they keep packaging them in. they cost way more than a plastic bag and header, and cost more to ship. audiodifficulties wrote: Yep I got screwed a few times on retail with these already
im not sure i understand what this means. how did you get screwed?

cornbluth wrote: man do these toys blow this makes me happy...because I still love these guys. I have almost all of them except a few, and the more people who hate them the easier they are to get. too bad you're not working your magic on zollmen. I'm a little disappointed in the pink one though as the pink is a little weak...not that I won't buy them...I just wish it had been a stronger pink than they chose.

im not sure i understand what this means. how did you get screwed? I believe he means he paid retail price on them, and then had remorse due to crashing aftermarket pricing that they could have been had at.
