Awesome pic.
Really love how Turrqk looks like bronze w/ aged patina.

I have a question about your fhp#3 captains. Has anyone got one with a wierd stub? mine is lower than usual. It looks like the vinyl around the hole was cut un-even. I dont hink its a big deal but I was wondering if anyone els has had this happen to any of theirs. It makes the arm a little lower than usual. Its still tight and stays in any position but it is bugging me. I thought about cutting it but I think I will leave it alone. It is painted in the socket so it doesnt look to noticeable. has anyone ever had this problem with any figures??

Ah, I know this problem. Here is what you do: You go to the kitchen. Grab a glass of water. Take a drink and chill out. It's just a toy. Don't email pushead. Don't worry. Don't cut it. Just leave it alone. It'll be ok.

Drop the Red Bull.

I'm admiring this captain at least once a day - to me, it's definitely the most beautiful yet.

I just read this after a fairly shitty day...and it made me happy.

(also made me realize how much time I've wasted thinking about imperfections on some of the toys I own...heh.)

It's funny how a small imperfection can become an object of obsession. Drawing all your attention away from enjoying an otherwise perfect toy. :)

For me the psychology is: These cost A LOT of money (in perspective) and I want them to be as PERFECT as they can be ESPECIALLY if they're brand new. It's tough to think "I just dropped $100 on this thing, unopened and new, and look, a big ass blemish!" and be "cool" with it.

Vintage toys are one thing, even used figures or figures from like 2005/2006, but brand new, damn I hate when I get something slightly flawed (unless it's MEANT to be.) Mold/sculpt defects don't bug me though. Kinda like "that's how it was made." Paint defects drive me nuts, though, especially seeing the price tags.

i agree with this. as with most anything (not just vinyl) if i buy something brand new i expect it to look and function as new with no major blemishes/errors. used products put me in a different mindset and i can become a bit more "accepting" of a blemish but i still want to see it up front and not be surprised by it.
