 PEZ PEZ PEZ
anyone collect? I owned & lost them my whole life, but was never a die hard collector. Lately I've been picking up dispensers when I'm out. There is something really satisfying about those colorful plastic heads, that are cheap and you can get in line at the grocery store!
If anyone has an unwanted drawer full, hit me up. Who even knows where my old ones got to.
Its been fun to get back into a "cheap" toy habit.

 Re: PEZ PEZ PEZ
i got stopped at security in costa rica thanks to a darth vader pez. they had no idea what it was, and i didn't know how to tell them other than telling them "para los dulces!"
they let me keep it, but confiscated a nice cigar lighter that i had forgotten to pack in my regular luggage

 Re: PEZ PEZ PEZ
I used to have a ton of pez dispensers when I was a nipper. You don't see them around here anymore I want one of those giant Pez dispensers.

 Re: PEZ PEZ PEZ
I used to collect Pez when I was younger. Still have them all, most of which are unopened. I tried to sell them all a few years back but couldnt find a buyer. I couldnt even get $60 for the hundreds I have, well under retail value.

 Re: PEZ PEZ PEZ
I've been collecting for the last 12 years or so. It may be a "cheap" hobby to get into but it will quickly get very expensive if you want to go after the vintage stuff, which is so much cooler that the current releases.

 Re: PEZ PEZ PEZ
the thing i love about collecting pez is that i think i've only actually bought 5 or so of them. it's one of those collections that family, friends, co-workers, etc. collect for me. so, i probably don't have any rare, vintage, or feetless ones. but i love them all, especially the wal-mart truck and cheesy police officer guy. here's my current pez set-up, which changes quite often, with my son knocking it over continuously. and when he knocks them over, they stay knocked over for awhile. they really aren't the funnest things to set up...

 Re: PEZ PEZ PEZ
SLM, Those little frog ones in the top pic are awesome. Where did those come from?
I used to have a massive collection of oddball & foreign candy (esp. Asian stuff) but after a few years it was just out of hand, space-wise. If you have the room it's inexpensive and very colorful.

There are a ton of different gashapon mini Pez available in Japan. Others include Ultraman, Rodie, Kamen Rider and lots of other Japanese characters. Here is a link to some info about these mini Pez. http://pingu.minipez.net/

 Re: PEZ PEZ PEZ
I actually just recently scored a Finding Nemo Pez dispenser from my VP's candy gift basket that was sitting in her office last week. He is now standing next to my other Pez dispensers in my office: StormTroopers (x2) Boba Fett C-3PO Witch Sylvester the Cat Yosemite Sam Like others, while I haven't been ACTIVELY collecting these, my sisters have bought a couple of them or impulse buys at a drug store. They RULE and have become quite the small collection now! Love'em! Here's a crappy cell phone pic I just took:

 Re: PEZ PEZ PEZ
the PEZ factory (or one of them) is right in the next town over. (Orange, CT.) It's on the way to the movie theaters and where Skate World used to be so it's a childhood memory from forever (with a huge PEZ sign on the building). If you are collecting pictures of PEZ factories let me know.

I've gone to the MN convention a bunch of times. The crowd at those isn't quite my scene but it's a good place to do some shopping.

 Re: PEZ PEZ PEZ
I've got a couple TMNT (Raphael and Donatello), Batman (Joker, Riddler, TwoFace) and Halloween ones (skull and pumpkin). That's about it. I've never been into collecting them, but pick up the ones that I see that I like.
One of my favorites from back in the day was the skull with collar. I just saw that there's a black version of those, rad as hell.
I love that crystal pumpkin one!
