 My first Hedorah
I got this guy done today, still need to take some better less shiny pics. It's a Bandai 07 super cheap since it's my first one.

 Re: My first Hedorah
The bright green is Rustoleum spray paint, the darker green is airbrush paint then wiped to reveal the brighter green. The next one I'm doing is going to be two toned orange with some silver spray. Than maybe a pink version for the wife.

 Re: My first Hedorah
Some better pics, I'm starting on a pink version tonight. I originally was going to do a silver spray on the orange version but I'm afraid it will not look good, any thoughts?

 Re: My first Hedorah
Nice! Bought one of these the other day and was thinking of doing the same thing. The Kaybee toys by my house is closing (are they all closing?) and got it for just over 4 bucks. Probably go back soon and buy the rest of them.

 Re: My first Hedorah
Nice work. I just finished painting up one of these as well. They're great to practice on and, if done well, come out pretty cool. If I were to do another one, I'd probably experiment with filling those god-awful seams.

Nice paint--did you use some drybrushing? The depth of the details really pops out.

 Re: My first Hedorah
Bought 4 more of these today and sprayed a few up. Tried to fill in the joint lines on one of them and still waiting to see if I like the results. Once they are done I'll post some pictures. We should try to organize a custom tradeoff of these because they seem pretty easy to get ahold of, are inexpensive, and because of their shape seem very easy to paint.

Lemme know if you plan on putting one together.

 Re: My first Hedorah
Rather than start another thread, I hope you dont mind I post my pictures in the thread. I used Takara paints (cans only)for these. I dont have much experience painting anything and found that I started gettting small bubbles in some of the paint. I also had issues with painting the eyes (I hate painting with a brush) Which is why No. 3's eyes are just one color. I think they came out pretty good. No. 1 No. 3 Number 2 is being reworked alittle and 4 is still being painted.

 Re: My first Hedorah
Found nine more of these for 3$ a peice at another KBtoys the other day. Now to figure out where to put them all. Here is No.2 and No.4 There came out okay, I still like No.3 the best.

 Re: My first Hedorah
Dang all of these are looking good, a trade is a great idea. I've got a pink and red one in progress right now. I need to check to see of there are still any KB Toys still around here cause you can't beat $4 hedorahs. If someone does find a solution with filling the seams let me know.
