Best Job In The World! Who wouldn't apply for this?
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/7823812.stmSeriously. If I had a way to send in a video of myself (with arctic tundra snow in background for the pity vote), I would totally apply for this. State of the art villa, $102,000 dollar salary, 6 months on a awesome tropical reef location, responsibilities- feeding fish, snorkeling, sending reports back on the island. They'd probably have to shackle me to tear me off the island after 6 months.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... apply.htmlLooks like their traffic is worse than a Bemon website release! Honestly just the video and pics make me want to seriously go down under (Australia). I've always wanted to go there, New Zealand, somewhere in the south pacific. Guess after reading about all those recent shark attacks in Australia I'd need my Shark Repellent though!

I heard about this this morning on NPR. It made me have one of those profound moments where you look around at what you're doing and think to yourself, "wow... my fucking job sucks."

Re: Best Job In The World! Who wouldn't apply for this?
i would rather apply for a counter job at mandarake in shibuya,,,seriously maybe i am a cynic,,but i doubt it is as cool as it sounds.... hamilton island is not a deserted beach island,,it has a population of 5000 in only 3square miles,,,kinda tight... why couldn't a local do this job?? i imagine some creepy & incestuous local-yocals chased out the old "caretaker"... and they need new blood also,,it is serious box jellyfish & shark country!!

Yeah, if you get set-up with some really great AD&D insurance it could make this an even better deal! Get set-up for life as long as you only make a claim on the 2nd "D" and not the first! Although, I guess you'd be "set for life" either way.

I watched the video. There were sea turtles clearly leaving the island. They know something.
