 Subscriptions?
Hey!
I noticed that the new issue is up on the site now and I'm thinking of getting a subscription - I've bought the last several issues at a local shop, but it always takes a while for it to get there. But I noticed that the subscription is more expensive than the cover price x 4...usually subscriptions save you money.
Anyway, I'm still thinking of getting the subscription just for the convenience of not having to wait weeks/months to get the latest issue. But I was wondering if S7 will ever get any Skull Brain exclusives, or if it's strictly limited to Ghost Fighters.
Anyway, it's not a make a break deal. I'm just interested in Skull Brains and haven't really noticed S7 get any love from SB on that front. But maybe that's because I took "the plunge" after all the good 'Brains came out. (Did you sell the Secreters when they were released?)

Well I subscribed and it seems the only perks so far is getting the mag a week before the release.
I subscribed right before the KAWS issue and still so far I havent recievd any offers or any emails period on suber specials or anything.
Brian said that there are things in the works but I'm still waiting.

It seems to me that the main perk is the opportunity to get subscriber-exclusive figures.

I'm om my second issue. White Day Sub GF, Hardcore x S7 T-shirt, so far. There supposed to be more in the works, but the mag is worth it alone.

Of course - that's 99% of why I'd be getting a subscription. I guess I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it (to me) to pay more for a subscription than I would pay for the magazines at a store. Right now the only real perk (for me) that I see is that I would get the magazine right away rather than having to wait for weeks and weeks. How much is my patience worth?

Don't have to drive (gas $ sux), shop or wait in line plus the opportunity for some sub only shwag. $4 more per year for that convenience works for me. LASH wrote: Did you get the email for the T ??
Yup, but I think I've missed one or two in the past.

I work at a store that sells Super7 and I subscribe! The exclusives for subbers rock but the real reason I subscribe is support.
Brian and the rest of the Super7 gang have done so much for the Japanese toy community it's sick. If it was'nt for Super7 most of us on this board would'nt know our ass from our elbow. I'm not saying the information is not out there I'm saying the magazine (with help from this board) makes it easy.

The subscription cost, is just to help ccover mag costs as well as shipping -considering the changes that wil appear in issue 14, you will actually be saving money - watch out!
As far as Subscriber exclusives, we have lately offered:
Issue 11:
Valentine's sub only ghostfighter (february)
Issue 12:
White Day sub only Ghostfighter (march)
Super7 Hardcore t-shirt (may)
Issue 13:
We have new sub only mysteries for July, so just wait!

My sub just ran out with #13, but I will be re-upping soon! Well worth the price of admission for the knowledge base along, let alone the great exclusives!
Keep up the great work, Brian & gang!

Yeah, I decided to go ahead with the subscription - $4 more is worth not having to wait. Though I did like the "excuse" it gave me to go to Missing Link every week!

Now you're talking about saving BIG money with a subscription.

Just so I get this clear....
Coz' I really want to understand this, I really do.
Um....So... Having a subscription saves you money because it gives you the privilege to spend even MORE money on exclusive toys....but since you have a sub you get a discount.... logic hard, brain hurt.
Did I get that right ?

Getting an issue a week earlier than the news stands is totally worth it to me... (Much cheaper than driving to the store to see if it came in every day for a week)

And in my area (Minneapolis), if you're lucky enough to find an issue on the newsstand, it's about a month after it comes out.

i know this thread and post are old but THANK YOU lostinky for stating it so clearly.
this thread is full of a lot of BS and matters that should be taken care of directly with ramos/flynn
i feel privileged to get Super 7 on my doorstep, and am happy to pay their price. Most of us would be hurtin bad without the presence of S7 in our lives, and i for one will continue to support with a Subscrip.

Hey I just wanted to add a bunch of praise here...
This week I subbed to S7, and also picked up a back issue. This was on Monday, and yesterday the back issue had already arrived (along with my Kaws glitter twins in another package )
I've received correspondence from Suzi, and the issue came so fast I thought I was going to fall over!
Thanks so much guys! I'm really looking forward to kaiju toys thanks to you folks!

I just renewed subscription while at the SDCC because I would be lost without Super7 and Crew.I believe it's important to support to help keep them around.
