Over 70 parts (!?) but will be made and done by Soft vinyl yet. This figure will create new standard, I guess.

I was assuming that it was just a rough translation, and would replace "parts" with "pieces/units" like a production run of 70. Guess we'll find out soon enough, though.

The souce is Okuda's Blog "70 parts" he wrote may mean sculpt parts and not completed vinyl parts but I'm sure it will be intricated.

 Re: TOUMA DESTDON at MONSTOCK
I finally got MK-II which is really insane This figure seems to be composed of 94 "parts" or "pieces" (sorry I don't know how you'll say but not production runs). I also don't know the native people use the words of "Garage-kit", this is the Garage-kit toy made of soft vinyl. It sounds strange but here it is in real. Anyway, all I want to say is how crazy it is. I'm glad to get this figure. I think it would be my toy of the year

 Re: TOUMA DESTDON at MONSTOCK
do you have photos of this garage kit before assembly and paint? it sounds crazy to be vinyl and so complex!

 Re: TOUMA DESTDON at MONSTOCK
You can find it on Monstock blog. (I want to quote the image directly but Monstock prohibits it without permission so please check their blog...) > http://monstock.blog105.fc2.com/blog-entry-375.htmlTop pic is it. You'll also find the number of "94" there though in Japanese. This figure is made by not only "put on" (normal vinyl way) but also cut & "paste". I think this figure would be able to appeal the Guinness Book

 Re: TOUMA DESTDON at MONSTOCK
wow, the pre-assembled photo reminds me of an unearthed dinosaur dig site. at least, unlike resin garage kits, all the pieces are nicely trimmed and ready to go. are you able to attach and remove the armor at will, or is it permanently glued on? i'd be afraid to play with it for the fear of losing pieces

 Re: TOUMA DESTDON at MONSTOCK
Well, the armor of his shoulders and elbows and his lower jaw is removable. But others are glued very tight, I think. I bet his many sharp needles are there for it - "Don't play with me"
