Here's a slice of life for ya....
So usually if it's blizzard like conditions here in Buffalo on my day off I don't venture out. Today I had to go to the bank (I never have actual money on me- rent).
So I'm walking like I'm walking on a beach, very slow going when I see a woman trying to push a old man in a motorized wheelchair out of a snowbank. She is shouting "Can you please help me?" What the hell can I do? I can't say "No, you're on your own". So I try pushing and the thing is stuck pretty bad, wheels just spinning, no traction. I then try pulling it through the snowbank by the middle bar underneath. I'm no he man but I really just want to get this over with. While I'm doing this the old man gets out of his seat and I'm overcome by a strong urine smell! As I look down I see skid marks of crap all over the light grey seat and I almost puke (I don't handle human feces too well). Suffice to say I got the chair out, did my good deed for the week- but it was friggin' gross.
C.

Lightweight Actually it's funny I used to be a home health aid 15 years ago. One of the millions of jobs I've done for about 8 months. That was really a sad an gross job.

That's a slice of something, but it doesn't smell like life.

What's cool is that you did help and that you didn't bail out on the deed when things got gross and most important. You didn't puke.

I'm sure the dude was plenty embarassed after having some stranger witness his 'oopsie.' Good for you for helping, I don't know if I would have in the first place.

As a general rule, you should always stop and help someone in need out. But Karma is a bunch of nonsense. Just my two cents.

Re: Here's a slice of life for ya....
talk about a Kodak moment
one time about 20 years ago when I had a job with all my friends at a local gas station this old dirty guy rolled up in his chair. He told us some weird story about needing help pulling a tube out of his chair for some mechanical reason. I was hesitant and my friend said no but I kneeled down and pulled the tube out and piss started pouring out. Thankfully it didn't get on me.
