Google issue- "This site may harm your computer" ???
What the hell is this? I woke up this morning, and did a google search for IMDB.com and I get a "This site may harm your computer" flag underneath and it won't let me click through. If I want to I can cut and paste it into the address bar. What the hell is this all about? I tried to do a search about it, and it seems like a safety measure Google instated last year? Where any website with "badware" get flagged by google, and badware is bad coding apparently?
I've never once had this problem, shit yesterday I didn't have this problem. Is it something on my side of the computer? Is it malware infecting my computer and causing me to have issues or is this happening to everyone?
I can't seem to change it in google preferences- and *every* website is flagged- IMDB, google itself, this place, my own website is flagged. I know I certainly wouldn't harm my computer or anyone elses. This goes for image searches too. what the hell!
Is there anything I can do about this? This make searching through google next to impossible. If this is an across the board change by google, I can't imagine the lost revenue by people trying to get places online to spend money (amazon.com is flagged, ebay too) and then can't.
I almost want this to be a virus, cause otherwise its ridiculous worldwide.

Why would someone put "imdb.com" into Google? Why wouldn't you just put it into your address bar?

Weird... just had the same thing a couple of minutes ago when searching Google for a definition. Didn't really think anything of it and went on to the next site.

Re: Google issue- "This site may harm your computer" ???
Something must be up with Google then- I just searched "site:hellopike" to see if all my pages were flagged, and I got 2 pages worth of results. But nothing was flagged. Then I went to page 2 and the results were suddenly flagged, so I went back to page 1 and they were all flagged.
maybe someone hacked google.

I'm not getting any warnings, and I'm using Chrome. I would check your systems for spyware.

Roger wrote: Why would someone put "imdb.com" into Google? Why wouldn't you just put it into your address bar? Actually, that was a fluke. My homepage is google. When I started firefox up I moused up to the address bar to type imdb, but didn't realize the cursor was still on the google form, then I hit enter. But that besides the point isn't it Roger? =) Are you having these issues? *nevermind, you aren't* phil

I too noticed the problem earlier this morning. Google has since fixed the bug and here is their response: http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2009/01/ ... er-on.html
