I haven't seen the guy in the bottom left of the last photo in that paint app. It's amazing! The black and red look great. I'm also jealous of the Eryops.

man these are great. butanohana really does dinos the best. those guys are just begging to be played around with. butanohana really seems to have a knack for sticking to classic vinyl/color combos.

Daniel great butanohana pics. I love the oldskool vintage look of butano stuff. Wish some of their pieces were easier to track down, i.e the kong or m1go guy. You have excellent dino taste....

Awesome collection of dinos. All 3 of the "bald headed" ones have an amazing spray.

Amazing Daniel. A rainbow of Buta Dino goodness.
Do you happen to know the name of the version that Chris was referring to? Last photo bottom left?
I'm also a huge fan of the green guy in the second image (center).

The black dino with the red 'helmet' is a Pachycephalosarus. plover wrote: I'm also a huge fan of the green guy in the second image (center). T-Rex. I love the colors on this one. I've also seen a nice chocolate brown version. Thanks for the comments, guys. They are really fun toys- I found myself running them around on the table as I was setting up. My personal favorite is the Carnotaurus (guy with little eye horns). His proportions and expression are hilarious, and totally inappropriate for such a vicious critter in real life.

Those are great pictures of a great herd; want to get more myself but must wait. In the meantime, these shots are wonderful!

 Re: 2009 Collection [2/2 - Butanohana!]
Oh! What lovely pictures! The colors of the dinos are gorgeous, and Butanohana pieces seem to have an air of whimsy about them. Thanks for inspiring me--seeing them in one great herd like that is really nice! I've yet to acquire my first Butanohana, but would like to start collecting them (esp. fiercesome little Magra). In your last photo, the dinos look like they are standing about waiting for you to throw some cupcakes at them to devour

 Re: 2009 Collection [2/2 - Butanohana!]
Those all look so great, I wasn't feeling these for the longest time, but in a mob scene like that they really shine. The Corythosaurus takes the cake, especially the flesh colored one with the blue and red crest. Thanks for the photos.

Green T-rex and the blue bird-headed/beaked one are both tops! What's the name of the guy w/the beak, anyway? I'd never seen that one anywhere until now.

Awesome colors on those Buta dinos---wow!
We are currently being delighted by some of the nicest photos recently--am excited on how the "Imagery" show will turn out.

 Re: 2009 Collection [2/21 - RxH + others]
Just received my first Jinmenken- this was the one sold recently in-store at Shinto Gangu. I chose this one because the paint scheme- black on flesh vinyl, dappled with silver spray- has more of a natural look than some of the older releases. Kind of looks like a variety of shepherd. Minor gripe is that the paint on the head is kind of sloppy. The white spray is spattered across the top brow and side of the face- maybe a paint mix problem?

 Re: 2009 Collection [2/21 - RxH + others]
I keep coming back to this thread to see the dinos. But different as it is from the dinos, that shepherd from hell is captivating! Mebbe the white overspray is a shot at mimicing the white hairs you often see in amongst the black hairs on older members of the breed. Either that or it's snowing in hell. Either way it is a drop-dead piece! I'd like one, but it would scare the pee out of my aging corgi.

Great dino collection and beautiful photos of them. Every Jinmenken that I've had, the paint application was so so. The flesh version you have though, regardless the overspray, is just stunning. A really great vinyl and color combination.

you said the older ones are squishy, how do the newer ones feel? Ooh, sorry. Forgot to answer this. The Butas are made from a hard, glossy vinyl these days. I like the squish, but these seem more durable. Anyway, had a couple hours to kill today in Nakano. Found a few neat things. Mandarake New Special had a ridiculous amount of good stuff at killer prices. Almost came home with a Gakken Ride Armor... ALMOST. Most of my time was spent at the Mandarake Micro on the 4th Floor. Tons of trashy plastic from the 80s and 90s... God I love that stuff. Score of the day was the Diving Nessie toy- 1575 yen! Didn't know about the Chorobo until today.. now I must have more. Denjin Zaku. Huge toy, and from what I understand is sort of the Gundam equivalent of the Showten Votoms vinyls. These are a pain to find on YJA, but Mandarake had a basket of them sitting on the ground. Go figure.
