I've had meaner teachers in elementary school. Christian had/is having a meltdown. I don't know what it's like to be a world famous actor, but I imagine that it can be a bit surreal at times and have it's own stresses. I mean, I think it was a dick move on Bale's part, but I don't know what the guy is going through. I'm no psychologist, but I'm guessing that something else was going on with Bale for him to blow up like that, and the camera guy was at the wrong place at the wrong time (literally).

I remember reading an article about him where the writer said Bale speaks in different accents from time to time as if it's nothing unusual. I'm not sure if he's a kook, an asshole or slowly cracking under the pressure of celebrity.

God, my father-in-law does this all the time - drives me fucking crazy! He thinks that he puts on a really good Scottish accent and will talk like that all day. Sometimes I just have to leave the room.

He should have been more professional but I can understand how it would be frustrating if you were doing a scene and some dude is walking back and forth in your periphery. From what he said, it seems like the DP was doing it all the time during filming.

From what I read, the guy he's yelling at kept screwing up a scene and wasting film and this came right after his mom and sister extortion.


And anyone who thinks he's a terrible actor go see The Machinist. That movie ruled.

Christian Bale lost so much weight in The Machinist even against the directors orders. He was so believable in his role and I also loved him in American Psycho. If a DP can be in a film like the Terminator and be so empty minded as to walk in view of the camera then he deserved it. Especially since its not the first time.

Bale's a good actor. I really don't know the ins and outs of what went on in the clip. He was pissed, who knows if it was warranted. People sound like retards when the fly off the handle, that's why it's called flying off the handle.

Bale freaked out on set at the cinematography director because the said director stepped into some light and distracted Bale. As an actor bale shouldnt get distracted. Be in the moment. If the director was at fault thats for the film director and producers to deal with. Movies starring people like Bale cost thousands per minute so someone else would be sure to let this guy know if he was screwing up. Bale should just stay in the role and get his part done.

Stress? Main actors sit in their trailers or get called in only to do their lines. You can have the stand-in stand there for hours to get all the lighting right only to be replaced by the main actor like Bale saying three words and then back to the trailer for some quiet time or debauchery. Big actors like this should be thanking whatever god they pray to daily for their good fortune and not be rude to all the people they work with. Filming is a team effort and without everyone else Bale would be doing a bad Hamlet in the park, alone.

No matter what he is getting paid, it's still a job. All jobs are stressful!
